A Study On American Foreign And Security Think-Tanks

American foreign and security think tanks play an important role in decision-making of American foreign and security policies, and the role includes many aspects. The life force of American think tanks bases on the independence of their policy research. The development of American foreign and security think tanks reflects the characteristics of American political system, traditional culture and global strategies. The aim of research topic is to make a systemic analysis and study on American foreign and security think tanks.The paper consists of three parts. The first part is an introduction that mainly clarifies the purpose and significance of doing this research, and that presents the present situation, the emphases, difficulties and innovation of the research topic, and also explains the important methods used in doing this research. Besides, the first part describes the basic contents and structure of the research topic.The second part is the main body of the paper, and is composed of four chapters. The fourth chapter gives an analysis on the revelations for China.The last part draws a conclusion that includes four aspects. Meanwhile, it puts forward the worthy direction of further study on this topic.
