The Mao Zedong's theory of Integration between intellectuals and worker-peasants was passing through all the life of Mao Zedong. No matter how people evaluate it, it will play an important role in Mao Zedong's thought; obviously, it place great impacts on revolution and construction of China. And if further discuss, the importance of the theory is far more. In fact, the theory also involve in a popular issue, which is the role of intellectuals in the process of national modernization.This article asserts: "identity dilemma" is a common problems as China's intelligentsia transformation from tradition to modern, this dilemma due to both the overall crisis of the early modern China, but also from the role conflict between revolutionaries and the torchbearer of Intellectuals. Mao Zedong as the May 4th educated youth bearing the same social responsibility to "save the world" as Chinese modern intellectuals, he proposed the idea which intellectuals Integrate with workers and peasants based on the basic position of Marxism. This idea by building relationship between intellectuals and the worker-peasants to remold intellectual identity, and then construct relations of the intellectuals and the revolution, intellectuals and state, at last reconstruction the order of Chinese political, social and cultural values. This is response to the modern Chinese intellectuals "identity dilemma", but also to China's political, social and cultural crisis. This paper propose "the intellectual's Identity mold" as research perspective of The Mao Zedong's theory of Integration between intellectuals and worker-peasants, tries to put the research space-time on the identity transformation of intellectuals in the twentieth century historical background, and attempt to explain Mao Zedong "surpassing" efforts in the specific historical context of China's modernization.The basic idea of the paper is as follows:Takes the modern intellectual's identity change as a background to analysis the historical factor which occurs of the Mao Zedong Thought. Based on this inspects, reviewing the development process about The Mao Zedong's theory of integration between intellectuals and worker-peasants, there are four stage:the thought production, the development, the influence and the change, to radical trend. We can have a conclusion: "the intellectual's identity mold" is a fundamental cause that has always led the evolution of Mao Zedong's theory. Intellectuals combine theory and practice, ideology proletarianize, labor-based, popular culture to accomplish "integration" with the worker-peasants. And then their identity changes as popular, revolutionize and proletarianize, they are "the New Intellectuals" which immersed themselves in the new political, social and cultural values order. Mao Zedong mold intellectuals a new identity which carry on responsibility of all intellectual to "transform society" and rebuild the nation-state in the beginning 20th century. As a Marxist, they also shoulder of the human historical mission to liberate the public for their well-being. Therefore, the idea itself has great theoretical and practical value. However, in the case of class struggle, the intellectual's identity defined as "bourgeois" which belong to the "reformed" and "reeducated" object by the workers-peasants. And the Mao Zedong's theory of integration between intellectuals and worker-peasants evolved to one-way transform intellectuals into "workers and peasants", and led intellectuals to a new "identity dilemma".The research value of this dissertation is:the intellectual's "Identity mold" as research perspective of the Mao Zedong's theory of Integration between intellectuals and worker-peasants will lead study in depth, but also has great practical significance for the current construction of harmonious society which can provide historical reference.
