Research On Mechanism And Method For Cultivating Personalities Of College Students

The fundamental of the competition in modern society is the talent competition, and the social development is ultimately attribute to the human development, individuals with healthy personality, outstanding ability can be more responsive to contemporary social competition and more likely to succeed. Students are in the key period for the development of individual personality, integrity and good character is important for its future growth and development, so universities should pay attention to the culture of their personalities. Compared with the demand for fostering the personality in the college students, the current theory and practice are both obviously un-enough.The drawback of the theory is that the existing theory of personality and the theory for nurturing personality can not be clearly clarify the mechanism and methods for cultivation, and can not effectively guide the practice of college students for personality cultivation. The drawback of the practice is that the existing work for the personality development don't possess the three distinct characteristics which should have possessed, that is: the goals can be clearly set, the process can be implemented and operated and the results can be evaluated.Therefore, if we want to solve the major problems of cultivating personalities, the key is to make the mechanism and method for cultivating personalities clear.Firstly, this paper makes analysis of the personality situation of the contemporary college students. Then, we summarize the research achievements about personality, personality development and cultivating personality of philosophy, sociology, psychology, etc.Based on the analysis of the materials,we give the personality a new definition,and further analyze the structure of the personality and its features,then probe a new approach to develop individual personality, which is according to the internal pulse and external shape formats .In addition,we are searching for the mechanism and the method of the cultivating personalities .Besides,this paper also propose a pratical mean,which is based on the perspective of the cultivating personality, instilling the consequences of the reasearch more practical meanings. We establish a multi-level and omnidirectional comprehensive system of cultivating personalities based on the above studies.It includes four aspects: target system, content system, practicing system, and evaluation system.In the empirical research section, we choose self-regulation behavior as a case of researching on cultivating typical personalities and choose group training as a case of researching on methods for cultivating personalities.Thus, it verified mechanism and method for cultivating personalities of college students.
