Physical Educational (P. E) teacher's teaching styles is an issue not to be neglected among P. E teaching theories. They significantly influence P. E teaching effects. With the issuing of the New Program and reformation of Higher Education P. E. Curriculum System, in order to find out if public P. E teachers' personalities are closely related to their teaching styles in their individualized teaching, this article, based on its systematic analysis of studies of teaching styles home and abroad, proposes some issues for further studies of public P. E teaching styles in the area of sports coaching, and carries out corresponding research, using methods such as literature review, questionnaires and physical statistics. The result shows that: 1) the teaching styles of higher education public P. E teachers are mainly characterized as radical, legal, partial and global; 2) Teaching styles of higher education public P. E teachers of different sex are significantly different (P<0.05) regarding the executive teaching style and the critical teaching style; 3) Teaching styles of higher education public P. E teachers of different educational background, professional qualifications and teaching history haven't shown any significant difference on any type of teaching styles; 4) The personality features of higher education public P. E teachers of different sex, educational background, and teaching history are not significantly different from each other; 5) the personality features of higher education public P. E teachers of different professional qualifications have not shown any significantly difference in tenns of individual personalities and extroversion, but have shown significantly difference in terms of the squeamishness P<0.05 ); 6) the personality features of higher education public P. E course teachers are correlated to their teaching styles, and influences the formation of their teaching styles. The individual personalities of the personality features of higher education public P. E course teachers predicts legal teaching style, while the squeamishness of the personality features predicts legal and global teaching styles.
