Contemporary University Students' Ideal Personalities And Their Shaping

The contemporary university students are the most valuable talent resources. They are the hope of a nation, the future of a country. High schools shoulder the responsibilities of developing the graduates that have both ability and political integrity. This could be achieved through cultivating the ideal personality traits in the university students. The model of the ideal personality normally has been established and popularized by the government, which has been accepted by the citizens. During the new era of the transformation in the society and economy the expression of university students of "Vanishing traditional personality", "Release of the realistic personality" and "Loss the ideal personality " has caused anxiety. The contributions of the students as well as the nation's future would be affected if we can't rebuild a new ideal personality that can adapt to the market economy. Therefore, shaping the ideal personality is becoming an important topic the high schools face at the present. This thesis used some professional theories of the personality research and ideological politics pedagogy, shaping the contemporary university students' ideal personality is the starting point. On the basis of analyzing the personality's feature and essence, revealing the present condition of the personality of contemporary university students all-round. And also analyzed the problems such as rising emotions of disgust with learning, the falling of a moral conscience, the increase of utilitarianism, and the downturn of innovation and creativity. Meanwhile, this thesis pointed out it is the surrounding college students' self-valuation psychological quality, internet vulture teachers' level and other factors lead to the present condition of the undergraduates. Also, this thesis suggested an ideal personality model for the contemporary university students — they should be the ones can combine the individual personality with morality. Finally, this thesis mainly explained how to develop the ideal personality model, explored the principles of developing the ideal personality. Furthermore, Steps to achieve this ideal personality of undergraduates were elaborated as strengtheningmoral teaching, improving the environment that molds personality, and encouraging the self-improvement of university students. To some degree, this thesis could contribute to the study of the ideal personality of the undergraduates and have some realistic meaning.
