Early20th century, school of culture pedagogy represented by German educator Edward Spranger put forward a proposition that is education is a cultural process, broadened the horizons of education. In this context, cultural education has become an important task of university. As we all know, the academic discipline is the basic unit of university, should undertake the education mission that is to internalize the advanced cultural achievements into university student's nature power. Although education functions as the ontological function of university culture has received widespread concern from academia, the education function of university disciplinary culture has not been given due attention. Therefore, it's necessary to research on education function of university academic disciplinary cuture in order to help university better fulfill the mission of culture education.The dissertation proceeding from the culture perspective of ideological and political education, mainly uses the methods including literature, history and logic analysis, comparison and case analysis to research the gegeral laws of the education function of academic disciplinary culture. The research aims to actively promote academic disciplines exploring the education value of the culture of natural science and technology disciplines in order to cultivate scientific thinking methods, scientific spirit and moral quality for university students, and to concise humanities and social sciences culture essence to create conditions for university students to enhance the human realm, shape the ideal personality. We hope the research will carry out some inspiration to improve the status quo for disconnection between the ideological education and academic disciplinary education, and to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education by training university students to be talents who have expertise and cultural background with academic disciplinary culture.Firstly, the dissertation theoretically analyzes disciplines, university academic disciplines and university academic disciplinary culture to reveal the discipline nature of academic disciplinary knowledge and academic disciplinary organization "two states" interaction, and on this basis, form a new understanding of university academic disciplinary culture including the main body of academic disciplinary culture, knowledge system, value system, normative system, behavior and cultural field, which on the basis of "elements-function" relationship construct analysis system of the research on education function of university academic disciplinary culture. The dissertation also demonstrates the straightforward education function of university academic disciplinary culture on four dimensions which are ideal personality shaping, value orientation guiding, thinking ways'developing and behavior orienting, and further analyzes the internal logic, mechanism, approaches and respectively from the microscopic and the medium level analyzes the major performances exist in different university academic disciplinary culture of this function. Additionally, on the basis of analysis existion research results, the dissertation re-identifies functions of university academic disciplinary culture, proposing the "new five-function theories" of university academic disciplinary culture that is including boundary function, cohesion function, discipline function, knowledge production function and the education function. In addition, analyze and illustrate the collaborative education effect of the four functions except education function. Meanwhile, the dissertation also explore the external effect manners of education function of university academic disciplinary culture from socio-culture, and on this basis, to examine the main performances of socio-culture affect education function of academic disciplinary culture in the different development strages of Chinese and Western society. Finally, profoundly analyze the reality obstacles and their reasons to achieve the education function, and select function optimizing routes, in order to produce a certain theoretical and practical significance on guiding the education function of academic disciplinary culture from spontaneous and free education method to conscious and efficient mode of education.
