Purpose:Social ecological environment, basis of our human beings survival, was deteriorated by rapid development of economy. Obesity has been a focus of attention to the public health all over the world. The prevalence of children obesity is already increasing quickly. Under such circumstances, the prevention and control on the obesity, the cultivation of the health behavior of the preschool children, which has been brought to broad masses'concern. It is well known that the unhealthy behavior, to some extent, was due to the impact of multidimensional adverse factors with low income family. The study will attempt to explore the effective model of the prevention and control on the preschool children obesity in low income family.Method:The intervention study was carried out for about24weeks in4similar kindergartens, Head star centers, located in San Antonio, State of Texas, United States, where the participants, the children aged3through6, are divided into3groups:group one(n=96), group two(n=179), Control group (n=97). for the children.Intervention components employed in this study included:The education on diet and physical activity, the directional physical activities, tasting activities on healthy foods, and the competition on healthy diets; the training to teachers pertinent to health education, health contest and health screen as well; the education to parents on health knowledge (group one), the relay of health information. The test such as height, weight, motor skill, exercise, diet, food preferences have been done before and after intervention. After the interention, additional test will do, just like the healthy behaviours at shool and family, the enforcement power of the teachersResults:1)The result shows that the healthy behavior of the preschool children was improved. First, there is a increase in diets and significant enhancement in gross motor skills between two experimental group, while there is no difference between groups. Second, the children'cognition and the preferences for healthy foods and drinks were intensified, and consumptions concerned increased after experiment. The effect of group one is more stable and the children enjoyed the interventions so much. Third, the teacher report shows that consumptions of the fruits, vegetables, water is increased when children were in school. In addition, the healthy behaviors of teachers were improved and the teacher report has a good enforcement power on the intervention activity during process. Fourth, the children'healthy behaviors were boosted significantly by outdoor physical activities than ever before. Meanwhile, Parents had a better idea of the health knowledge through participation.2)The result shows, to some extent, that body weight of children wore controlled and adjusted. As against the control group, the increase in body weight of the children in group one was decreased noticeably, and the one in group two is no difference.Conclusion:The fruitful behavior intervention on diets and physical activity of the preschool children aged from3to6, coordinated by synergy of teachers and parents, will slow down the crazy increase of weight gain, prevent and control obesity development, and enhancement of constitution.
