Based on multi-disciplinary research paradigm from historical, comparative, political, philosophical and economic perspectives, the contents of this dissertation, aiming at the topic of university-business partnership, are arranged as the following:Chapter One, starting from the description of historical changes in the "ivory" towel, introduces the theme and purpose of this research, and makes a brief review of relevant research documents.Chapter Two, on the basis of historic investigation of university-business partnership, defines the nature and conception of "university-business partnership", and sets "national innovative theory" as this research's basic theory for the further discussion.Chapter Three, based on the successful experiences obtains in such developed countries as the U.S, the U.K., Germany and Japan, makes a comparative study among those distinguishing model of university-business partnership and summaries main ways and operation mechanism for industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.Chapter Four, starting with the analysis of the national regulatary atmosphere creating environment, shows the significant role of government by probing into the governmental guidance and support during the process of university-business partnership.Chapter Five inspects the ideal "Silicon Valley" of university-business partnership and some cases in the course of popularizing, analysing the experience of the construction of technical and industry districts so as to offering reference on how to promote the university-business partnership.Chapter Six surveys the social status and functions of higher education from the angle of philosophy, focusing on the conflict between academic value and commercial value to ascertain the new idea of university-business partnership.Chapter Seven based on the strategy of "triple spiral" development, focuses on summing up the marked achievements by transferring system in national scientific research institutes in the 90's and implementing the "211 Project" to promote the transferring of scientific research achievements. It illustrates the three-in-one functional mechanism about "academic circles(university and institution for scientificresearch)-industrial circles-government " and further points out theadjusting direction of action optimization and strategy for the universities, institutions for scientific research and governments.Chapter Eight, the conclusion, once again emphasizes that the university-business partnership is an extremely important systematic innovation during the present knowledge-based economic era. Moreover, the chapter attempts to prove the argument with economic philosophy. To sum up, the university-business partnership aiming at national innovation is the only way to rejuvenating our nation by means of science and education.
