Art is the "water of life" which nourishes people's spiritual being to durative and healthy growing, and one important mission of art education rests with using the pure "water of life" to irrigate and breed people's spiritual life, making it more abundant and more perfect. But currently, some children's art education has been polluted in different levels, destroying people's spiritual life, mainly embodying on inartistic orientation, simple discipline or pure skillful trend. Ability the contaminated children's art education cultivated is unilateral and closed at all with complete opposite to humanity attainment in nature. Other children's art education that hasn't been polluted materializes an idea of ecology, striving to culture the ability essentially different from that of children's art education with catabolism, seeking an internal unification between process and result, fulfilling the harmony with humanity attainment. Therein, as a type of art education represents the idea of ecology, ecologic art education is to foster such abilities. Art ability is an open system built up by three elements- perception and experience, creation and representation, reflection and evaluation. Hence, this dissertation primarily chooses those three elements, and lays each of them into ecologic system with other two elements, respectively analyzing every element and relationships among them, thus forming the clear clew of the study. At the same time, art ability is the outcome of interaction between artistic knowledge, artistic skills and humanity attainment, thus composing a backside clew of the study. Just under those two clews interweaved with one another, this dissertation spreads and deepens continuously.
