The theory of moral education culture is a study focusing on the change of modern moral education from the view of cultural thinking mode. The value orientation of moral education culture research is combining moral education and the constructing of Chinese socialism advanced culture into the process of socialism modernization, putting the strength of moral education on the base of deep social culture. This theory is full of constructive meaning for both theory and practice of new period moral education. This dissertation includes four parts:Chapter I, the essence, structure and character of moral education culture. The moral education culture means an interpretation of moral education from the view of culture. Firstly, on the level of the world view, regarding moral education as a kind of spirit and culture phenomena and existence, it has the nature of culture unique spirit culture value and power; Secondly, Culture has the methodological value for moral education. Using culture methods as methodology, the method of culture moral education is subject interaction, featuring communication, understanding, and dialogue. The process of moral education,which means the spread and reproduction of spirit,is a process of cultural meaning and value realization.This proceed represents a new standpoint and method different from old ones. The more progressive moral education, the stronger consciousness of moral education activity and deep meaning of culture value. Culture has more instructional and constructive effects on moral education. The structure of moral education includes: from the view of the system, moral education culture consists of its idea and spirit, culture reflection about its content system and activity goal, and its value maxim; form the view of hierarchical structure, moral education culture consists of its different levels of social psychology, theory and the view of value; from the view of process, moral education is a process of spirit producing and social culture broadcasting, which consists of its subject, object and intermediary. The prime characters of moral education culture include character of humanism culture, dominant social culture, character of non-utilitarian and recessive value, national diversity, and humanity.Chapter II, the logical interpretation of the history of Chinese moral education culture. The tradition of antique Chinese culture has a strong trend of moral education orientation, the whole system of education focused on moral education; Confucianism moral education culture established the main frame and orientation; on Han Dynasty, the political function of moral education was consolidated. On modern and contemporary times, Chinese moral education culture has undergone a tortuous process. From modern times to the period of New Democratic Revolution, there formed two different kinds of moral education culture. One represented progressive strength with modern culture character, the other served for the reactionary regime. There are many characters of moral education on base area led by the Chinese Communist Party. It had strong revolutionary trends and distinct class stands. It emphasized politics, put awaking class consciousness as its goal, and focused on effects, so it was a successful pattern of moral education. By summarizing the path of its progress in new China, our country established a moral education system which has Marxism education theoryas basic after liberation; in the primary phase of socialism constructing, it got a great achievement, playing a positive and important role in process of enforcing socialism institution. But the thinking mode of class confliction gradually produced negative effect on the moral education because of complex objective and subjective reasons; in the Great Cultural Revolution, the moral education was politicalized extensively, so it was twisted and trampled; since the reform and open, it established a constructive dimension of facing world, future and modernity, while eradicating its effects of politicalization.Chapter III, the research on the m...
