The viewpoint of children's learning plays a very important role in pre-school teachers' viewpoints of children's education. Their traiditional viewpoint of children's learning impeted the pace of reformation of preschool education. Pre-school teachers' viewpoints of children's learning should be transformed from knowledge and technique oriented to growing oriented urgently . But,how? This dissertation aims to launch into field-study of recent practices of children's education to expose the teachers' shaping of their viewpoints of children's learning within the kindergartens. It is also dedicated to make a comprehensive view of several paradigms of study of children's learning throughout the western history of pedagogy, so as to get a glimpse of and draw inspiration of the guidelines, approaches and methods of study of children's learning, and make a conscious effort to explore a practicable approach of the reformation of the teachers' viewpoint of children's learning through the cooperative action research as well. The dissertation consists of three chapters.Chapter I focuses on the teachers' viewpoint of children's learning, through the field study of real conditions of children's learning within the kindergartens, such as the analyses of the wording with regard to preschool teaching materials, teaching practices and seminars, as well as administration.Chapter II make a comprehensive view of several paradigms of study of children's education throughout the western history of pedagogy—from the initial Hypothesis, later Rationalism and Empiricism, and then Scientific Positivism, to the latest Hermeneutics. As is indicated, the transformation of paradigm of study of children's learning coincides with the two turns of western philosophy, i.e. epistemological turn and practical turn. And it also indicates that in terms of children's learning, famous educationists, such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, John Dewey, and Maria Montessori, all have made a great breakthrough in the mainstream paradigm of study of their times, and have demonstrated a new approach, i.e. through both scientific means and communicative experimentation; which means the study should be conducted through rational ways such as practice and reflection, as well as trans-rational ways such as imagination, apperception and comprehension.Chapter III is discussion on the Action Research. With the introduction of a close-up of the missions of Action Research Unit, a series of recounting dialogues of the topic "methods of the implementation of preschool curricula", this chapter will explore a practicable approach of the reformation of the teachers' viewpoint of children's learning through the cooperative action research.
