Listening to the voice of children is an important trend in preschool education research. As a basic form of activity in kindergarten, play has the value of promoting children's development in the aspects of cognition, emotion, language and sociality. And as the main way of children's learning, play also has the value of learning. But what dose play look like in children's eyes? Does play really equal to learning? In order to explore these questions, the author uses Observational Method,Photo-elicitation Interviews,Painting-elicitation Interviews, and regarded 28 children aged 5-6 and 8 teachers in higher grades of D kindergarten in Shanghai as subjects.Based on the children's perspective, the author collected the children's viewpoint of their learning, and compared the children's viewpoint with their teacher's viewpoint of children's learning,to more comprehensively understand the learning of children. After analyzing the interview results, the author found that children in higher grade already have a basic understanding of their learning.Their viewpoint of the meaning of learning points to the specific learning activities and learning contents. They have realized the importance of learning to their own development. In terms of learning contents, they pay attention to the learning of specific knowledge and skills, such as drawing, writing, addition and subtraction, ect. As regards the learning methods and learning state, the children regard attending class and doing homework as their main learning methods, and they also emphasize that they should use their brains more often and sit well when they are learning. When they recognize different learning behaviors, they emphasize the results of learning and children's state in learning. Most children aged 5-6 believe that play is different from learning, and compared to play, learning can learn specific knowledge and can make use of their own brains. However, teachers think that play is children's learning, and children need tolearn how to make themselves adapt to the future life.Teachers believe that the contents of children's learning should be based on the five major areas, and the choice of learning methods should meet the children's interests and needs.Teachers think that children aged 5-6 cannot understand the concept of learning. And they point out that the children's viewpoint of learning is influenced by their parents' education concepts and after-school tutoring institutions. There are some relations between children's viewpoint of their learning and the teacher's viewpoint of children's learning. On the value and significance of learning, both teachers and young children advocate the value of learning to adapt to the future primary school life.On the learning attitude, teachers and children emphasize that learning should use their brains. There is a certain difference between teachers and young children in their viewpoint of the relationship between play and learning.Teachers believe that for young children, play is learning, and young children are the masters of their own learning. But children aged 5-6 emphasize the role of teachers in learning, believing that only under certain conditions, play is learning. The viewpoint of learning of children aged 5-6 is influenced by teacher education concepts, parents' education concepts,Chinese traditional education concepts,after-school tutoring institution and the daily activities in kindergarten.Based on these findings, the author put forward three suggestions.First, teachers should listen to the voice of children.Second, parents should change their educational concepts.Third, the education administrative department should strengthen the guidance and management of after-school tutoring institutions.
