The Study Of Sports Moral Cognition And Behavior In Youth Athletes Of Team Events

This study aims to explore the status and characteristics of sports moral cognition and behavior in youth athletes of team events.Develop the scale of sport moral behavior and cognition in youth athletes of antagonistic team event;moral atmosphere questionnaire in sport team,revised Motivation atmosphere in sport team questionnaire.315 young athletes(male=195,female=120)form different sports team(basketball,football) were investigated in this study.Based on interview,observation,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics,this study examined the individuals and environmental factors which closely related to the development of sports moral cognition and behavior.The main results and conclusions are as follows:1 Different antagonistic in same court team event athletes have different views on understanding of sport morality.And have differences in sport moral cognition and behavior.Research instrument combined specific event is needed to fit for sport moral study on athlete from different events.2 The 4 dimensions(pro-moral behavior in sport,anti-moral behavior in sport,pro-moral cognition in sport,anti-moral cognition in sport) had a sound contribution to explanation the sport moral cognition and behavior of athletes.Good sport moral behavior appeared as concern and respects the rules and referee,social norms,opponents,go all out for the competition,and have no negative behavior on all participants.3 Motivational climate contains 6 dimensions:cooperative learning, effort/improvement,important role,intra-team member rivalry,unequal recognition,punishment for mistakes.The first 3 dimensions emphasizes master involvement,the second 3 dimensions emphasizes performance involvement.The master involvement motivational climate has a positive correlation with pro-moral cognition and behavior,and the performance involvement motivational climate has a negative correlation with pro-moral cognition and behavior.4 Sport moral atmospheres includes competition structure, characteristic of event,motivation orientation of coach,parents and athlete,leader style of coach,moral talk in sport and experience of athlete.These 6 factors have a 73.882%variance contribution.5 Individual subjective(goal orientation,emotion before competition) and social environment(sport motivational climate,sport moral atmosphere) variables all can influence the development of sport morality of young athlete.Task orientation athlete has higher level than that of ego orientation.Fear of failure anxiety,social expectancy anxiety have significant positive correlation with anti-sport moral cognition and behavior,and have significant negative correlation with pro-sport moral cognition and behavior.Self-confidence and the anti-moral cognition have a significant negative correlation.Somatic anxiety and athlete moral cognition and behavior have no significant correlation.Motivational climate has a significant correlation with athlete moral cognition and behavior.The moral atmosphere is an important predictive variable on sport morality. Teammates,parents and coach's oriented motivation,leadership style, moral dialogue in competition are the most effective predictive variables.
