What the key problem "on education and social development" has been explored is about the connection between education and society. This problem of relation between education and society, in the view of author, has not been considered seriously in theory and been solved correctly in reality for a long timein our social political cultural lives. However, it has received great progress about this subject not only in theory but also in practice for thirty years from Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee. Even today, research on the subject should march with the time and give a whole systemic express and what should be involved in educational fundamental theory research.It is no doubt that the relation between education and society is a problem of macro-area in educational theory research. In this thesis, Society is a large system and education is only one part of it from systems analysis. The problem about the relation between education and society is the relation of part and whole. What is the essence of relation between education and society? In author's view, one is culture and the other is the individual person. It is the culture and person made of the relation of education to society, if without them, they would be separate object and without any connection at all. And it is culture and person that makes education and society has close relation and not be separated. It is also which makes social lives complex and lively. Those all become the thesis's primary train of thought and study construction from analysis.Part 1, preface. the thesis analyzes foundation, angle choice, main goal and meaning especially and explains the train of thought, content, method and originality on the research in short based on expressed the research problem and background in brief.Part 2, fundamental conception analyzed.it lays foundation to grasp the relation education to society and to explore the relations among education, culture, person and society for the research later based on analyzed the conception of education, culture, person and society each.Part3, relations among education, culture, person and society analyzed. it explores and analyzes the relation of education to culture, education to person and education to society each in the study frame of education, culture, person and society. This provides the fundamental premise and theory basis to study the relation of educational enterprise to other social enterprise and the theory foundation to explore the relation between education and society further.Part 4, education and social development.it considers that education is the basis of social development through analyzed the effect and status of education in the large social system deeply. Meanwhile it pointed out that education enterprise should base its development on the individual development and the social progress after exploring the interaction between person and society development and the relation between education and person and society development further.Part 5, education enterprise and other social enterprise.it explores the relation of education enterprise to economy, social politics, culture, scientific technology, national population quality, social ideology and harmonious society building and draws a conclusion that education as a social enterprise of state is the cornerstone of county development and social progress. So it has the basic overall status and should be put on the priority strategic position to realize comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development of education enterprise and social enterprise.Part 6, person-oriented is the starting point and end-result of education. the thesis thinks education should develop with person as the goal, as the object, as the subject and persist on the fundamental standpoint and basic concept of person-oriented. Education is the interaction of person and culture in nature and its ultimate goal is to promote person all-round development. It explores educational effect on personal development in different levels with person as individual, as group and as category on all above research. Finally, it analyzes the problem that education interacts with person socialized and individualized and explores the relation of quality education to person all-round development. Part 7,conclusion(Person development is the ultimate pursue of education and society development).After synthesizing all of above research, the thesis thinks that person is the essence of education and his development is the top value and ultimate pursue of education and society development. It promotes grasping the fundamental theory problem about the relation of education to society and deepens the understanding of reality problem for developing education enterprise and building harmonious society. So either education or social enterprise should aim at person development and promote his all-round development and social comprehensive progress.
