From history perspective disciplines development is a process that all disciplines mixed in the philosophy and then divided into each discipline, and now have the tendency to intercross and integration again. The universities'important mission of academic innovation is to make breakthrough by disciplinary integration and intercross. However the obstacles are discipline division and disciplinary organization division. One of the reasons is disciplinary culture difference and conflict. So this dissertation researched the disciplinary integration and university organization framework reform from disciplinary culture perspective.Disciplinary culture is the different total character of discipline knowledge, discipline institution, living type and discipline knowledge. It contained four layers as follows. Substance layer includes knowledge, jargon and signal, methodology and technology. Regulations layer includes research norm, evaluation criterion, publication form and demand, praise and punishment system, novice socialization mode. Behavior layer includes working style, academic career, network communication, cooperation and competition. Thought layer includes value view, belief, thinking way, disciplinary idol.The difference of disciplinary culture exists naturally and academics understand it through three trend:form nature science and human culture to multi-disciplinary culture; from culture in knowledge and methodology layer to other layers; from academic research culture to teaching and learning culture and academic management culture. Four typical disciplinary culture are investigated and described by four layers of disciplinary culture definition, they are physics(hard-pure), mechanical science and engineering(hard-applied), history(soft-pure) and journalism and information communication(soft-applied). On the basis of these the dissertation analyses the reason for hard discipline's team work and soft discipline's personal work and its influence and why the applied discipline is easier to intercross with other discipline than pure discipline.The difference of the disciplinary culture results in disciplinary culture conflict in the university. The phenomenon are as follows:discipline tribe segregated themselves for less understanding, have prejudice and discrimination against other discipline groups, some collision happen in interdisciplinary research team, discipline immigration have inner conflict. However the conflict is not only negative but have some positive function such as increasing understanding and respect between disciplinary cultures, enhancing contact with other disciplines, promoting disciplinary culture integration and let us reflect current disciplinary institution.Disciplinary culture integration includes knowledge integration and intercross, to understand, respect and tolerant to each discipline's regulations, living type and disciplinary thought, and find common point and cognition. University organization reform is the most important measure for disciplinary culture integration. This dissertation expounded traditional organizations which can promote disciplinary culture integration like collegiate system in British university and undergraduate college in American university, and studied faculty institution reform in university of Germany, Japan and China, new interdisciplinary organization in Chinese university, and review the category, function and problems of these organizations. In the end some other measures are proposed such as renew the discipline idea, construct good discipline ecology, reform academic evaluation system, encourage teaching in university.
