School spirit is the proper phenomenon in the process of its history and development. The more the school is developing, the more spirit the school needs, the more we need to study school spirit. With the development of the education and teaching in schools, school spirit has already become one important topic of the school administration field in our country.On the basis of the realization, the author of this dissertation begins with the study on the basic issue of what school spirit is and then explores the values, the structures, the form rules, the abstraction and exaltation of school spirit.Firstly, the author probes into the study background of school spirit. The real-life gist is the outstanding problem schools face, the ultimate one of their practice and real-life project of their development. After that, the author reviews the history of the concept of school spirit, trying to give its new identification and analyzing its essence deeply.Secondly, the author researches into the values of school spirit. The spirit is made up of the values of the development, the science, the literature and esthetics. The development value impels the development of the persons in schools, guides the school development and shapes the society's development. The science value promotes the amalgamation of the scientific spirit and literary one, the coexistence of the scientific reason and value one, the consistence of the scientific study and the school development. The literacy value provides the literature care, exalts value reason and shows the human nature. The esthetics value forms the school features, constructs the harmonious campus, establishes the spiritual education and builds the surpassing emotion.Thirdly, the author searches after the theory basis of school spirit. The author gathers up the thoughts on school spirit in the history of its theories. Summing up the thoughts of the moral education, worries first and happiness later, the students-oriented, the country-oriented in the history of our country and the spirit origin in our country is that comprehensive of self-taught and study, equal attention to the teaching and caring about the politics, the combination of inheriting and innovation, the author explores the thoughts of the life philosophy, the cultural edifying, the moral education, the human-oriented education and tries to the spirit origin in the western countries by the Academia, the school built by Vittorino da Feltre, the school built by Cecil Reddie and Summer hill school.Fourthly,the author studies the structures of school spirit, probing into the internal structures consisted of group emotion, group purpose and group values, the category structures consisted of the spirit of freedom, science, democracy, doing all one can and team, the functional structures of the function of creativity, agglomeration, edification and criterion, the role structures of principal spirit, teacher one and student one, the author explores their relationships.Fifthly, the author probes into the rules of school spirit formation. The rules lie in the gestation, conformity, internal absorbing and intensifying. The ways of the gestation rule are three kinds of the history, nowadays or future, cultural administration of schools. The conformity rules are mainly the embodiment of the conformity from up to down, the one from down to up and communication one. The rules of the internal absorbing are about the influence trend, apperception, imitation, hint and identification. The intensifying rules of school spirit are mainly the embodiment of the substitution one, direction one and self-intensified.Sixthly, the author explores the abstraction of school spirit, which is about the exploration of the thought preconditions of school spirit, the augmentation of the main bodies and the relationships of school spirit abstraction, whose paths are digging, and reading, focus and innovation, construction and reshaping. The requests of school spirit abstraction are governance, endogeny, consistent, unifying and reasonable.Lastly, the author analyzes the age circumstances are consumption society, utilitarianism administration and knowledge education. The solutions to the questions are to return the spirit life, to reform the existing system and to actualize cultural edifying. The exaltation of school spirit is the exaltation of school stages, the value pursuing of teachers, the motivation that students become a useful person.
