The essence of tourism is an experience of self-development and self-perfection. Therefore, the search for knowledge and self-education has been the important function at the origin of tourism. Nowadays, knowledge based economy effected every aspect of human life style. Simultaneously, post-modern knowledge views which have provided many inspiration for our mind. As the most valuable resource, knowledge has become the core competence of the organization. Tourism was affected by the development of society, with the changes that tourist desire to learn more from their journey, at the same times the high-educated employees in the tourism corporation could use high technology to service. Such condition as to speak that "knowledge tourism" is the suitable concept for its trend in this era of knowledge based economy.The study and practice of knowledge management has grown rapidly since the 90s last century, driven by social, economic, and technological trends. Limited by the modern knowledge views, tourism has been slow in adopting this approach due to not only a lack of gearing between researchers and tourism, but also to a "hostile" knowledge adoption environment. For this reason the author try to construct the theoretical framework of knowledge tourism then do some empirical research, because the acquisition of knowledge management theory would close the gap and also provide both insights and potential applications for tourism.There are three parts including altogether 10 chapters in this paper. In the first part, based on some connected research the author proposes the concept model of knowledge tourism management with the interpretation of some key words like knowledge tourism,knowledge tourist and knowledge tourism product.In the second part, this paper highlights the applied method of positive organizational behavior in the study of knowledge tourism management. With the classic scale measure of international brand personality, combined with research achievement from domestic scholars, the fifth chapter has an empirical study of the psychological capital of the employees in two tourist attractions in Shaanxi province. The dummy variable regression was used to explore the relationship between psychological capital and knowledge conversion. In chapter 6, this paper focuses on the influence of organizational identification on knowledge conversion. With the help of empirical method, the gateway for knowledge tourism management implementation inside the tourism organization has been analyzed.In the third part, the author point out that the Geo-park is a representative knowledge tourism product. The geological relics sights in the Geo-park with high value in appreciation usually endowed with such a lot of information related to multi-subject, Therefore there is a need to cognize the geological relic's sights from three different hierarchies like:form cognition; space-time cognition; idea cognition. In order to develop the knowledge tourism, the deeply cognition for Geological Relics sights needs more attention. As a typical knowledge tourism product, interpretation is very important to the protection and sustainable development of Geo-park. With a survey of tourists at the Cuihuashan national Geo-park based on the questionnaire which explored by the author, chapter 8 has an empirical study of the tourism interpretive demand in Geological Relics sights. The Statistical results show that visitors have great demand for the guided walk. As demonstrated by the analysis, Visitors' preference for interpretive topic is distinctly different in terms of their age, educational background and occupation. Subsequently, a case is studied to develop strategy for promoting the knowledge conversion both inside and outside the Geo-park.Finally, this paper makes a summary about the above research in order to draw reader's attention to innovations and the shortcomings of this article and then the aspects for future investigate.The main conclusions of the research are:1) Knowledge tourism is the main trend in the knowledge economy era. The acquisition of knowledge management theory is very important for knowledge tourism. The central theme of knowledge tourism management is that tourism organizational knowledge is created through knowledge conversion which it means a continuous dialogue between tacit and explicit knowledge.2) The key point of knowledge conversion inside the tourism organization is that how to motivate the knowledge workers. The knowledge conversion between tourism organization and tourist depend on the knowledge tourism product.3) The development of knowledge societies has built a solid foundation for the hypothesis of knowledge man. To be the knowledge man, the knowledge tourist behaved with great dignity. Nowadays, in the hypercompetitive circumstance, the positive organizational behavior method is very useful in the knowledge tourism management, especially to encourage knowledge workers to contribute their potential energy, since they are also knowledge man.4) As demonstrated by the empirical analysis, either the psychological capital or the organizational identification of the employees has a distinctly adverse effect on the knowledge conversion inside the tourism organization.5) The Geo-park is a typical knowledge tourism product. The strategy for promoting the knowledge tourism in Geo-park is improving the psychological capital and the organizational identification of the employees. Furthermore, try the best to modify the interpretation system according to the tourist interpretive demand, in order to encourage the knowledge conversion both inside and outside the Geo-park.This study attempts to innovate in the followings:1) Theoretical innovationIn this paper the author proposes a core concept-knowledge tourism then giving the integrated interpretation of it for the first time. Moreover, based on the hypothesis of knowledge man, the author analyses the characteristic of knowledge tourist and knowledge workers in tourism organization. Furthermore, proposes the concept model of knowledge tourism management.2) Concept innovationGive a definition to some key words like knowledge tourist and knowledge tourism product.3) Method innovationThis paper highlights the applied method of positive organizational behavior in the research of knowledge tourism management. As demonstrated by the empirical analysis that both the psychological capital and the organizational identification of the employees has a distinctly positive effect on the knowledge conversion inside the tourism organization. Therefore, establish a new path to solve the problem about the black case of knowledge tourism management.
