At present, China will soon become the manufacturing center in the world. The local market has been internationalized is undisputable. But the management level of our country's supply chain is low in the world. In order to boost up the international competition of our country manufacturing industry, we must raise the management level of our supply chain and improve behindhand condition on management as soon as possible.Supply chain is a network system. The optimization of its whole performance is decided by the most weak link which is the "bottleneck" of the supply chain. Therefore, in order to improve the performance of a supply chain, we must find out the bottleneck of the supply chain, analysis the causes, evaluation and cancel the bottleneck, in which the identification of bottleneck is the first-line and basal step.The endogenous causes and exogenous causes of bottleneck of supply chain are analyzed at first. Then, the microscopical mechanisms of bottleneck of supply chain is studied based on principal-agent theory, evolution model of conflict caused by lack of credit, and conflict of target inconformity.Models is established to identify the bottleneck based on the following aspects for the supply chain:(1) Use the index of supply ability to identify the bottleneck of supply chain based on maximum flow theory of network.firstly, according to the situation that the structure of supply chain now is becoming more and more complicated and is evolving into the large and very large scales network quickly, this article present the conception of maximum supply ability of the large-scale supply chain network, and use the genetic algorithm to calculate maximum flow by a method which combine incidence matrix and min-cut, and identify the capability bottleneckof supply chain. Secondly, considering stochastic network, this paper use incidence matrix and Monte Carlo simulation to calculate cumulative probability of bottleneck link by computer. The method solve the problem of bottleneck identification in stochastic capability supply chain network. At last, considering a supply chain network with vendor-selection, we present nested hybrid genetic algorithm to carry the optimization, and identify the capability bottleneck of the optimized supply chain network.(2) Use the index of response time to identify the bottleneck of supply chain based on critical path theory of network plan chart. Firstly, considering optimization distribution of resources, nested hybrid genetic algorithm is presented to solved the optimization problem and identify the response time bottleneck of supply chain. Secondly, thinking about response time of supply chain based on amount distribution, this article adopt real-coded hybrid genetic algorithm to carry the optimization and identify the response time bottleneck. Thirdly, in supply chain with linear structure, the order response time of every member enterprise has a proportion relationship with cost. How to make the total cost of supply chain least within certain time range is studied. And bottleneck is identified when the supply chain has a constraint with time window. At last, considering network structure supply chain which has an incentive mechanism about the global response time, time distribution and bottleneck identification are studied.For giving enterprises an actual instruction to apply the theories of bottleneck identification in supply chain to improve performance of the supply chain. Choosing JH125 motorbicycle insturment panel of Mcompany, supply capability and response time of the supply chain were studied. At last, the bottleneck of supply chain was identified by corresponding theories.
