Study On Competitiveness Analysis And Strategy Of Panel Industry Cluster In Shandong Province

With economic globalization and market integration, the phenomenon of concomitant cluster, has been concerned from theory and practice of community since its formation. After several years, wood-based panel industry in Heze and Linyi city in Shandong province, has formed considerable scale, and are playing an increasingly important role. In recent years, with the forest ecological functions was increasingly regarded, which makes the wood tight for the supplement of production of wood-based panels, especially, a significant impact to the wood-based panel industry was caused by the financial crisis in 2008, then, some problems on how to develop industrial clusters based on local, are needed to solve in the current and future period of time; and how to maintain and enhance the competitiveness of industrial clusters and to consolidate and strengthen the wood-based panel industry cluster products in Shandong province in the domestic and international market, has become concerned for academic and government departments. Above problems were to be solved, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenge were needed to made in-depth analysis, so we can make clear what elements have strong elements of competitive and non-competitive, furthermore, the former need to be further strengthened, which need to be should seek to be promoted in the future, which will effectively enhance the overall competitiveness of wood-based panel industry cluster.At present, the study of industry clusters about the regional economy, industrial structure, informal system, institutional changes, the corporate network or networks of entrepreneurs and other aspects was researched, but quantitative research was very less in the competitiveness of industrial clusters, so how to build a cluster competitiveness index system is still great controversy. On this basis, this research mainly made these following works:Firstly, The results of research on industrial clusters were analyzed from many scholars at home and abroad, and the competitiveness theory and life cycle theory of industrial clusters as the basic theoretical foundation for further to evaluate the industrial clusters in Shandong province. Secondly, through the analysis on the development of wood-based panel industry cluster, the characteristics and development trend were defined clearly, while dozens of companies was researched in Heze and Linyi city, its strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and threat were made clearly through SWOT analysis. Thirdly, building evaluation index system based on relevant principles, learning from other scholars on the competitiveness of industrial clusters, and the competitiveness evaluation system for the wood-based panel industry cluster was built in Shandong province; using AHP method to summarize and analyze questionnaire, ultimately the evaluation index system weight was determined. At the same time, the analysis framework of competitiveness was evaluated in wood-based panel industry cluster, so the main features of its competitiveness were defined. Finally, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of the wood-based panels for industry clusters are summarized in Shandong province, and the analysis based on the results of the questionnaire, a series of strategy was suggested to enhance the competitiveness of industrial clusters through specific implementation measures, and thus improve better and faster development wood-based panel industry clusters in Shandong province.This research mainly gets the following conclusions:(1) There is obvious location advantages, wood-based panel industry cluster in Shandong has formed good circulating model of "big enterprise bring up middle and small enterprise to develop"; and it has many disadvantages of self-innovation and self-protection managing level, so it need to adopt SO strategy to better develop the cluster and regional economic development. (2) Cluster's effects of wood-based panel industry cluster in Shandong can promote competitiveness of regional economy, the competitiveness mainly embodies in enterprise,cluster and managing departments level, especially the enterprise development has bigger influence, and the manufacturing abilities have big role; in industry cluster level, out effects has more obvious role than net-work effects and innovation effects; in managing departments level, the environment construction has the biggest role. (3) Faced with challenges of post financial time, the government,enterprise and industry cluster, they all need to change according to problems in research, so as to increase competitiveness of cluster, and the recommends and ideas mentioned in research will have some positive role on competitiveness of wood-based industry cluster in Shandong.
