From Ecfa To Institutional Integration

Economic globalization and regional economic integration is the two main features in the present world economic development. With the deepening of regional cooperation and development, the objective had made the requirements of institutional integration to improve the regional economic relationship. The trend of regional integration is clearly reflected in the present stage of the cross‐strait economic cooperation, which has formed the cross‐strait economic interaction framework based on industries.In the background of global and regional economic integration , the cross‐strait economic cooperation is developing. "One China" is the basis of the development of cross‐strait economic and trade. In the promotion of the market mechanism and the opening mainland market, the cross‐strait economic cooperation broke through Taiwan's policy limits by the way of"private, one‐way, indirect ", which forced Taiwan to face the reality of cross‐strait economic trade exchanges and do positive impact on Taiwan's economic .So Taiwan had to deal with the fact of the new situation of economic cooperation in the default way. The cross‐strait economic cooperation had gradually promoted from the original isolated state to closely economic relationship. In the process, Mainland and Taiwan had kept their benefits each other, with the functional integration gradually taken shape. The cross‐strait economic cooperation is not only the most positive factor, but also the most important foundation of"peaceful development". The cross‐strait economic and trade interaction in 20 years has proved the economic integration irreversible. During the period, many challenges and obstacles need to be overcame, so that the political systems of integration can be constructed in a more effective manner.This article comes from the angle of the theory of integration, including other theories of relevant regional economic integration on the issue of the theory of integration and practice. The general thesis can be divided into three parts.The first part consists of introduction and Chapter One. The proposed of the introduction studies from a regional point of view of integration theoretical and practical significance, leads to the framework and structure of ideas. Chapter One combing through a lot of literature, sets up the overall analysis framework on the basis of WTO. The second part is the study for practice, which includes Chapter Two, Chapter Three ,Chapter Four and Chapter Five. By analyzing the concrete practice of the economic cooperation and the trend of integration, the impacts of integration on the industrial cooperation and the integration trend after the signed ECFA, the research puts forward the path of the full integration and organizational forms. The third part is the conclusion of the main argument, which points out the existence of question and the direction of future research.The paper summarizes relevant literature and research for the corresponding exploration. It analyses the cause and the trend of cross‐strait economic cooperation in the view of economic integration, and the changes and adjustments on economic cooperation at different times. It also puts forward the path of cooperation, which combines the choice of the path of integration with the pattern of the cross‐strait economic cooperation.With the study of economic integration developing, this article has some faultiness inevitably. So I will promote the research by studying and thinking deeply in future.
