Urbanization and industrialization are the hot issues in the current economy andsociety research of our country. The objective of this paper is to explore the influences, interrelationships and transforming methods of eco-city, which is the target model ofthe sustainable city, and industrial transformation, which is considered the a newindustrial revolution. This paper investigated the construction and industrial transformation of theeco-city using the theory and modeling methods of composite systems and by settingup eco-city's "Resource-Industry-Environment (R-I-E)" composite systematicstructure model, factor resolve model and relating model, analyzed the urbanizedpower mechanism and the evolvement mechanism of eco-city construction and theindustrial transformation using the coupling relationship and management methods ofeco-city construction and industrial transformation. The conclusions drew by this paper are as follows: eco-city model is the targeturbanization model, and industrial transformation is an inevitable choice to theindustrialization progress of our country;the eco-city construction and industrialtransformation have the mutual promotion influence relations with each other;therealization methods of industrial transformation should be the construction of cleanerproduction and eco-industrial park and the construction methods of recycling-orientedsociety based on the coupling of producing and consuming systems. The innovations of this paper are as follows:1.From composite systems theory, set up an eco-city's "R-I-E" compositesystematic factor resolve model, which decompounds the influences on city resourcesand environment system put by industrial development into four factors, the totalsupply and demand increase factor, the industrial structure change factor, thetechnological progress factor and the material and resource-sharing factor, anddeduced further that without influencing the development of economy, the ways tosolve the bottle-neck conflict between eco-city's resources and environment areindustrial structure adjustment, cleaner production and resources and material sharing.2.Used the system science theory to construct an ultra circulation model of"population–economy". This model divides factors, such as the gathering of citypopulation, the dividing of industries, governance, social consciousness and the citydevelopment, etc. into three interactional nested rings: self-catalyzing"population-industry-economy" ultra circulation;self-regulating "population-civicism" circulation and self-evolution "population-consciousness" circulation. Thethree circulations are influencing and nested in one another, which constituted thecomplicated evolution of motive force mechanisms for the urbanization, andconsolidated the four theories on the motive force mechanism of the urbanization intoone model.3.Introduced "flow-based" modeling methods to construct an eco-city's "R-I-E"composite related system model. Used the slaving principle of Synergetics tointroduce the price factor as a parameter to regulate and control the stream. Therefore, put forward the concept of leading type managing, which induces the industries torealize the self-organization of the energy and resources by regulating and controllingover the price of different industrial energy resources, and realizes the harmoniousdevelopment of the "R-I-E" composite systems.
