Core competence and knowledge management have been hot issues in research ofboth management and enterprise circles. This article aimed at exploring methods forintegrating organization's internal and external knowledge resources for knowledgeinnovation, and seeking a way to organize and establish continuous competitionadvantages.Based on "knowledge convening & fermenting model" of knowledge management,the article analyzed the internal and external knowledge network of the organization,and studied the following conclusions: maintenance of continuous core competencedepended on abilities of knowledge innovation and knowledge management;knowledge innovation within the organization relied on cooperation of organizationstructure, regulatory culture, and the internal knowledge network;an externalknowledge network was a way to overcome innovation contradictions, and, such anetwork between provider, competitors in the same trade, universities and colleges,and consumers could provide knowledge resources for enterprise innovation;astrategy knowledge network was an efficient way to promote knowledge innovationabilities of the organization and to create continuous competition advantages.Hereinafter are the innovative points in this article:(1) The article analyzed ways by which an enterprise could maintain thecontinuous competition advantages and avoid core rigidity through dissipativestructure theory, namely, to promote abilities to configure knowledge resources of theorganization, to innovate positively, and to continuously input new knowledge. It alsoformed a knowledge convening & fermenting theory based model of organizationtransforming process, deeming that confirmation of organization transformingdirection, change of leadership, main participators and environment were key pointsdeciding on success of organization transform and knowledge innovation.(2) Based on knowledge convening & fermenting theory, the article discussedthe function of enterprise as a knowledge ferment club, and thought that enterpriseknowledge innovation environment included three dimensions: social network,organization structure and regulatory culture. It probed into operation mechanism ofinternal knowledge network by use of social network, in order to explain innermechanism according to which configuration abilities of organization knowledgeresources and knowledge innovation could be promoted.(3) Based on external knowledge strategy, the article, from three dimensions ofknowledge characteristic, network member characteristic, and network structurecharacteristic, examined the knowledge circulating function of external knowledgenetwork, and researched the influencing factors of knowledge innovation to eachdimension, so as to provide a theory foundation to evaluate knowledge networklevels.(4) Based on social network theory, the article established, by analysis ofinvolved parties of interest, the cost based "enterprise-provider" network model, themarket based "enterprise-consumer" network mode, the innovation based"enterprise-university" network model, and the weak link based unofficial knowledgenetwork model. It analyzed evolving patterns and approaches of knowledge network,and constructed a Chinese enterprise strategy knowledge network model based oncooperation of internal and external knowledge network.
