A Research On Relevance Between Science & Technology Progress And Economic Growth

This paper is based on the following backgrounds: 1. the science & technology progress and the sustainability of economic growth; 2. the urgency of national innovation system; 3. Shaanxi theorists' concerns. This research will not only enrich the theory of relevance between the science & technology progress and the economic growth, but also expound "Shaanxi phenomenon" and the mystery of Shaanxi development". Furthermore, this paper will better explain the significant role and smart choice of science & technology innovation.The research ideas: Based on comprehensive description on the theory of relevance between and economic growth and measuring method, analysis is made on the interactive influence between the science & technology progress and the ongoing economic growth. A comparative analysis is made on the relevance between the science & technology progress, such as on the relationship between the progress and economic development in the developed countries and in the developing countries. Take Shaanxi province with abundant natural resources for example. This paper has made empirical analysis on the relationship between the science & technology progress and economic growth in Shaanxi, and explained the reason why Shaanxi is weak in some areas, providing effective strategies to solve its problems. In this research, the paper employs the methods of numerical analysis, systems analysis law, measurement analysis, comparative analysis of law and summarized law.This paper consists of seven chapters. The contents are the followings: Chapter One, Introduction. In this chapter this paper firstly illustrates the background of the research topic and proposes the research theory and practical significance. Secondly, it defines the concepts of "the science & technology progress" and "economic growth" and introduces the research methods employed in this paper. Thirdly, it introduces the way of research and general outline. Finally, it arrives at innovative points.Chapter Two, Comprehensive Description of the Relevance between the science & technology progress and economic growth. Firstly, theories suggested by Marxist and Schumpeter on the science & technology progress and economic growth are introduced, and then the related theories are illustrated such as the classical image of the new technological advances growth theory, endogenous technological progress of the new growth theory after the process of denying the progress of science and technology and economic growth. Finally, it demonstrates the analysis method on the relevance between the science & technology progress and economic growth.
