As a result of regional tourism cooperation, the industry and academic community of tourism have paid more and more attention to destination circle. This dissertation takes the destination circle as the spatial organization and the product form of touring region from a viewpoint of supply side, through theoretical speculation and geo-computation of the destination circle. In "Introduction", based on an almost complete review, we present three essential attributions on the destination circle, that is, the destination circle is a product; a combined product, and a combined product with the spillover mechanism among its internal elements. Theoretically, on the full understanding of the three attributions, we placed a particular emphasis on explaining the essential force that influences the supply and demand, the scale of the combination, and its efficient organization. In methodology, our empirical strategy is based on constructing geo-computational functions to facilitate the tourism model specification and estimation. In Chapter 2, starting from the essential dynamical of the formation of destination circle, we establish a Wilson tourism interaction model asTjk = KOkPj1-βGjβ exp(-λrjk), where Tjk stands for the interaction strength between origin j and the destination k, Ok stands for the attraction (or scale level) of destination k, Pj is the population of origin j, Gj is the gross income of the origin j, rjk is the distance between origin j and the destination k, β is theparameter of income, X is the parameter of spatial damping, K is a normalizing coefficient. The emphasis of this chapter is to compute and determine the parameters in the model. Considering the development level of the tourism industry in China, β is about 0.38 when we take GDP (in renminbi) to evaluate the income level in origin j; and when we take the physical distance to evaluate the distance between origin j and destination k, λ is about 0.00322 provided that the tourism interact in the country territory. When applying it to a regional scope, the value of λ changes to...
