The thesis depicts the industrialization process of the Northeast region in the past century, analyzes its characteristics and causes and tries to explore its historical status according to the time sequence from the 1860s to the 1950s.The full thesis is made up of three parts, that is, the introduction, body and conclusion.hi the part of the introduction, the first topic is about the origin and the reason why to select the subject and the definition of the concept of industrialization. The author's tendency is also stated as the second topic after a summary of several key points of view in the current academic circle. One of the important contents of this part is to make comments on the current status of research on industrialization in the Northeast region. The following that is the last topic in mis part is mainly to introduce several research methods adopted in the thesis, including the text approach, the measurement and comparative ones.The part of body is composed of six chapters that will be set forth below respectively.In the part of chapter I, the author mainly gives a survey to the beginning of the industrialization of the Northeast region, which actually came into being under a special historical condition. It is not a result from natural development of the local economy, but the reaction to the Western powers'capital and commodity invasion, which forced the Northeast region into a capitalist colonial system. Its emergence and development also result from the impact of external forces, to be exact; it is a typical late-coming development mode from external generation. The chapter begins with the introduction of the natural environment and human geography of the Northeast region and then discusses the industrialization of the Northeast region from three stages, namely, the start stage during the late of Tsing Dynasty and the early of the Republic of China, the development stage during the period ruled by the warlord Zhang Zuolin and the morbid expansion stage during the period ruled by the Japanese invaders. The final part of the chapter is about the disaster that the industrialization of the Northeast region suffered from after the surrender of the Japanese invaders.For chapter II, the topic focuses on the industry of the Northeast during the recovery period. After the retrocession of the Japanese invaders, KMT and the CPC immediately started intense competition and close fight for the control of the Northeast region. Taking advantage of the favorable conditions at the time, the CPC seized the opportunity to pre-empt access to the Northeast region, began to modernize the management and accumulated valuable experience. The industry of the Northeast respectively under the control of KMT and the CPC came into a stage of recovery and even made a little progress, but after all, the war caused quite serious devastation. In such a historical background, the industry of the Northeast was undoubtedly in a very difficult period.
