Along with supply chain management (SCM) population and logistics markets development, third part logistics supplier (3PLS) has acted as one important logistics suppliers for forward and reverse logistics services. After endorsing the outsourcing logistics contracts with the customers, 3PLS is subjected to transport the vary products from the customers to the product markets of the customers, or take on the reverse logistics at the same time with the minimum cost under certain service level by depending on a highly efficient logistics facility network. Logistics facility network is crucial for 3PLS to improve the operational efficiency and build up the competence, which differs from the traditional logistics networks with integration, fuzziness and customization of the logistics facility network. Many research fields about 3PLS are in the beginning by reason of the short developmental history. Especially, it is lack of the research about the logistics facility network plan for 3PLS.Focused on the research subject about the logistics crunodes layout methodology for 3PLS, one layout framework is proposed by concluding the history, modeling and solving algorithms about the logistics facility networks location and layout in this paper. Then some pivotal issues including potential logistics crunodes selection, modeling and solving under fuzzy, imprecise and fluctuant environment, logistics crunodes layout project selection are studied, which will play a great deal of role in logistics facility systems plan for 3PLS under the uncertainty, forward and reverse logistics needs of the customers.To design layout framework is ought to systematically and structurally describe the procedure, contents and the relation of logistics crunodes layout. One logistics crunodes layout procedure is presented by analyzing the meaning, characteristics and contents for logistics crunodes layout for 3PLS, which is described by using the systematical and structural method of IDEF0.Potential logistics crunodes selection is one key step in the logistics crunodes layout for 3PLS, which ensures the effectiveness and efficiency of the facility network, and discriminates the modeling scale for the layout problem. One evaluation and selection framework for the potential logistics crunodes is erected by applying for the theories of the fuzzy QFD, fuzzy measure, fuzzy integral and fuzzy sets under the fuzzy make-decision environment from the views of multiple facets and multiple attributes of logistics crunodes layout for 3PLS. Then the demands to layout logistics crunodes deriving from 3PLS and the customers are founded, and the evaluation indexes for the potential logistics crunodes selection are also presented. Lastly, gray statistics is used to confirm the layout needs and the evaluation indexes.Optimization and modeling is an important procedure to come into being some initial layout projects. Two fuzzy models focused on two phase and one stages logistics networks are proposed in this paper by taking into multi-customer, multi-product, capacitated facility location and the integration of the forward and reverse logistics facility layout account. In these models, the fuzzy and imprecise demands of customer markets and transportation rates are illustrated by triangular fuzzy numbers. One fuzzy model is considering only the logistics cost as the goal of model, another is including logistics cost and customer satisfaction in the model. In order to solve the modes, the odd goal fuzzy model is converted into the crisp model by applying for fuzzy chance constrained theory and possibility theory, and the multiple goal model is also converted into the crisp and odd goal model by usingα-cut theory and extending principle. Then the modes are able to solve by the traditional crisp algorithm or heuristic algorithms.
