Research On Performance Measurement System Modeling For The Networked-Manufacturing-Oriented Agile Enterprise

Based on enterprise modeling architecture and methodology and the advantage of theexisting performance measurement system, a framework of performance measurementsystem for the networked agile enterprise is established. And a strategy-driven, customer-oriented operational process model for the performance measurement system is created insupport of continuous improvement of the agile enterprise. A design process, an approachand implementation of the performance measurement system for the networkedmanufacturing enterprise are studied in order to establish and manage agile enterprisesuccessfully for Chinese enterprises.Firstly, the key characteristics of the agile enterprise are analyzed. A process modeland a whole structural framework for the network manufacturing oriented agile enterpriseare established on the base of generalized enterprise-reference architecture andmethodologies.Secondly, a framework of performance measurement system for the networkedmanufacturing oriented agile enterprise is established basing on the enterprise modelingarchitecture. And the principles of the performance measurement system are discussed.Thirdly, the process of performance measurement system for the networkedmanufacturing oriented agile enterprise is modeled by using QFD (Quality FunctionDeployment) approach on the base of the enterprise strategy and the stakeholder. Theenterprise strategy focus is identified first by integrating SWOT(Strength, Weakness,Opportunity and Threat) matrix analysis method and QFD matrix. Then, an approach toidentify the key process relevant to strategy is given by using QFD chain. Next, aperformance measurement indicator system for the agile enterprise with networkedmanufacturing is developed on the base of key competitive elements. Finally, referring thedynamic features of agile enterprise, an evaluating process of the performancemeasurement benchmark is stated to support its continuous improvement.Fourthly, the implement method and guidance of performance measurement systemfor the networked manufacturing oriented agile enterprise is studied to direct the enterpriseto integrate the performance measurement into the enterprise information system.Derived from the comprehensive understanding of strategic operation and theconstruction of performance measurement system for a case enterprise, this research statesa flexible and systematic performance measurement approach which is consistent with theenterprise strategy. This research provides a map and a template for further researches andenterprise practices.
