The purposes of the dissertation provided in here are focus on the monitoring and evaluating, as well as management of ecological service forests in Zhejiang province. It will be a case study serve for the national scale ecological service forests establishment, monitoring and management. It is component of two parts. First is the monitoring and evaluating of ecological service forests in Zhejiang; second one is the establishment of cadastre management system of ecological service forests in Zhejiang.1. In the part of monitoring and evaluating of ecological service forests in Zhejiang, the results and major discovers are list in below:(1) Established a system for monitoring and evaluating of ecological service forests in Zhejiang. The framework for monitoring of ecological service forests in Zhejiang was researched in this paragraph. They include the monitoring content, indicator system, monitoring approach and methodology.(2) The distribution of ecological service forests is reasonable, but quality is imbalance. Ecological service forests distributed mainly in head and banks of Qiantang River and Ou River, as well as in natural reserved, water reservoir, forest parks, cost of East sea, and water and soil erosion reserve. They are mostly in the eco-transect and eco-tone, provided important protecting barrier. The percentage of closure less than 0.5 forests are 30.17%, young and middle age forests cover about 77.85% of area, and the conifer of Masson pine dominant is about 52.26% in ecological service forests based on the sampling survey results of 2005. It shows that the quality of ecological service forests is still poor.(3) The biomass density of ecological service forest in Zhejiang is similar with average of national forests, but it is only 57.47% of worldwide forests mean biomass density. The results show that the biomass storage of ecological service forests of Zhejiang province is 123,515,000 ton, biomass density is 62.65 ton/hectare. Biomass density is similar with average level of China forests, but far less than worldwide.(4) The soil status of ecological service forests are well, and there are significant difference in different forest soils. The results show that the soil thickness and soft are well, soil organic matter and K are rich; nitrogen and quick result K are little poor; phosphate is very poor. The gradient of soil organic matter and total nitrogen are bamboo forest>broadleaved forest>China fir forest>shrubland>pine forest>other. (5) The eco-hydrological function of ecological service forest is well, and there are significant difference in water and soil protection for different forests, we found the forest surface run off coefficient is less, leaching capability is stronger, water storage is larger than non-forest land. Ecological service forests have obviously eco-hydrological function. Compared the discrepancy of water and soil protection function of different forests: Deciduous broadleaved forest is first one; evergreen broadleaved forest and bamboo forests are second one; Third one are China-fir, young forests and pine forests; last one is non-forestland and economic broadleaved forest. The principal factors in classification are forest quality; soil leaching, run off and erosion characteristics.(6) The plant diversity increased of ecological service forests in Zhejiang. The results show that plant diversity of conifer forests have these traits list below, the highest is China-fir forest, then is Mason pine forest and Pinus ellitte forest, the lowest is Japan cedar forest. The plant diversity characteristics of broadleaved forests seris is: shrubland is lower than evergreen broadleaved forest, the highest is mixed-broadleaved forests, which is secondary recovery. The plant diversity is increasing follow up the ecological service forests restore succession, and switch from conifer to broadleaved forests. Based on the vegetation and diversity quantitative analysis by DCA ordination, we found the vegetation gradient of ecological service forests of Zhejiang depend on the humidity gradient and restoration succession post disturbance.2. Part two is the establishment of cadastre management system of ecological service forests in Zhejiang. We system analyzed the working procedure and data procedure, and designed the system structure and function modules, as well as to explore the key technologies of data collection, compile, organize, database setup, system integration, developed a county cadastre management system of ecological service forests. It was demonstrated is a useful tool by the practice of Jianshan city. The advantage of the cadastre management system of ecological service forests development and establishment, to build up a criterion and standardization in county, and increased the management efficiency through the data entry, modification, statistics, query, analysis and output modules. It greatly improve the modern management level of ecological service forests both county and province.
