Study On The Coordinative Development Between Regional Urbanization And Eco-environment In Northeast China

The 21st century is the century of the urbanization. Urban sustainable development is the objective and basis of improvement the level of the urbanization. Interaction of the urbanization and ecological environment is the direct motive force that promotes urban sustainable development. Therefore, it is particularly important to study harmonious development of the urbanization and ecological environment in order to improve the competitiveness of urban sustainable development under the backgrounds of the economic globalization, general pursuit of sustainable development and revival of the northeast old industrial base nowadays.The dissertation relies on the thread with interactive relation of the urbanization and ecological environment, uses the theories and methods of relevant subjects, such as regional economics, urban geography, environmental science, economics, regional economic geography and sociology, and adopts the method of theory and practical investigation. An initially theoretical system of interaction between the urbanization and ecological environment has been established. On the basis of the analysis of the interactive effect between the urbanization and ecological environment of in the Northeast for the recent 100 years, it analyzes mutual active mechanism. Meanwhile, it puts forward a manipulative model and coordinated countermeasures. There are six chapters in this paper:The first chapter focuses on background and significance. It analyzes the close relationship between every theory and coordinated system of the urbanization and ecological environment. And it makes a systematic literature review on foreign and domestic studies on harmonious development of the urbanization and ecological environment.Starting with such concepts as interaction of the urbanization and ecological environment and the urbanization-ecological environmental coordinated system, the second chapter stresses on the process of coordinated development of the urbanization and ecological environment, interactive mechanism, manipulative mechanism, and so on. And it sets up a frame of theory on harmonious development of the urbanization and ecological environment. It elaborates that development of the urbanization-ecological environmental coordinated system depends on all kinds of mechanisms such as concentration and irradiation of elements, technological progress, institution and institutional innovation, adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure, enhance the quality of the population and the spread of urban civilization.Chapter three analyses the evolution and characteristics of the urbanization in the Northeast. And it emphatically elaborates the ecological environment effect of urbanization for the recent 100 years and the interactive effect between the urbanization and ecological environment in the Northeast. The urbanization promotes and coerces ecological environment, and ecological environment promotes and restrictions the urbanization in the Northeast. The key that development of the urbanization-ecological environmental coordinated system lays in promoting effect.Basted on the evaluation of urban social and economic development level, the level of urbanization, and the level of ecological environment, it sets up indices system of the urbanization-ecological environmental coordinated system. And it evaluates horizontal coordination of the urbanization and ecological environment in the Northeast and vertical coordination of the urbanization and ecological environment in Harbin.The fifth chapter elaborates interactive mechanisms on the urbanization-ecological environmental coordinated system such as natural conditions and endowments, adjustment and upgrading of regional industrial structure, changes of institution and regional culture, evolution and type of urban planning, construction of urban environmental infrastructure in the Northeast.Starting with the view integrated with coordinated development of the urbanization and ecological environment, the sixth chapter studies the control mode and countermeasures of coordinated development of the urbanization and ecological environment in the Northeast emphatically. The urbanization-ecological environmental coordinated system can carry out high level of development by regulating and guiding four functional areas such as optimized region, key region, limit region, prohibitive region.
