Industry Influence On Foreign Direct Investment

We have to base our research about the relation between FDI and industry factor upon sustainable development. In the history of FDI and industry development, investor decides FDI direction and industry transfer and so cares for sustainable development of self-country but not others, making host countries short of independence to industry development. Now, China not only becomes one of the biggest FDI receiving countries, but also becomes an investing country gradually. It is very necessary to research the relation between FDI and industry factor, so as to realize sustainable development.This dissertation goes on research about the relation between FDI and industry factor through influence history of industry, situation and discipline of industry development and FDI in recent years, government industry policy influence to FDI, and industry development tactic of China. The purpose is to emphasize the industry influence and this influence will be more and more important.Through the research between them, the dissertation emphasizes a viewpoint—economics research must be satisfied with the reality. And I hope the viewpoint will be helpful to Chinese reality. Moreover, the dissertation obtains some results thereinafter:1. The reason that former investment theory did not pay enough attention to industry influence is that the industry influence did not arise adequately. This dissertation inherits but not overthrows the former theory. It just gives a new explanation.2. Present years industry developed to a new stage and had two new changes. The first is the speed of industry substitution and product renovation got extremely rapidly, the cycle of technology transfer shortened. That makes global industry situation complicated. The second is that technology development increased industry distribution and brought new industry. These factors ask us to reinterpret former FDI theory. Industry factor influences FDI much more.3. This dissertation explains history of industry influence to FDI, emphasizes the predetermination of industry factor.
