With the coming of knowledge economy, knowledge has become the core resources of competitive advantage. Technology transfer, as the most direct way to access to knowledge, has become an important way of technology improvement for backward countries and enterprises, particularly for China, a developing country which lags behind other countries in technology. The enhancement of performance of technology transfer is of great significance to its economic development. But practice proves that technology transfer has been a very weak link during the building process of our country's national innovation system. Therefore, research on technology transfer mechanism has become a focus of scholars. Knowledge stickiness is a new concept in recent years raised by American scholars in the study of technological innovation. Through deeply analysis to knowledge stickiness, we can find out the crux impact on technology transfer performance so as to promote effective technology transfer.With the means of literature research, questionnaire investigation, typical case study, mathematic statistic and SEM model, the main content and results of this research are listed as follows:Firstly, based on the previous research results, the dissertation defines the concept of knowledge stickiness as well as describes the emergence and function mechanism of knowledge stickiness, which is a useful and creative supplementary to theory system of knowledge stickiness.Secondly, based on the distinction of vertical technology transfer and horizontal technology transfer, the dissertation analyzes dynamically the changeable relationship between knowledge stickiness and two types of technology transfer in different stages for the first time.Thirdly, the dissertation sets up a conceptual model of knowledge stickiness and technology transfer function mechanism. The model reflects the impact of the subject factors of technology transfer, technical knowledge quality and technology transfer context on knowledge stickiness. And the model also reflects the impacts of knowledge stickiness on vertical technology transfer and horizontal technology transfer.Lastly, by comprehensively using large-scale empirical research, factor analysis, correlation analysis and SEM structural equation modeling, the dissertation verifies the impact of various factors on knowledge stickiness, and the impact of knowledge stickiness on technology transfer. Knowledge stickiness factors are obvious observable and a certain degree of controllable, so it is practically significant of deeply research on knowledge stickiness so as to improve the performance of technology transfer.
