Research On Equipment Manufacturers' Service Parts Pooling Inventory Management Optimization

When equipment manufactures are changing from production economy to service economy,the manufacturers'value chain is shift to their after service.Production's after service has become the new economy increase dot.How to manage service parts inventory is a very important thing .It can directly influence on client demand's response,reflecting the company's after service level,and improving the manufacturers'management profit. This paper proposes a new service parts inventory management pattern, based on information sharing and many agents harmonious cooperation.In order to realize this pattern,my contributions were as following:1.Considing the customer waiting cost caused by the unavailable part, a multi-location inventory optimization model was set up based on (S-1,S) continuous checking policies.Numerical examples show the pooling inventory system's operational costs and stocking levels are lower than the decentralized inventory system's.With the customer's waiting cost per unit of time increasing, some types of service parts'pooling inventory system's operation costs are higher than the decentralized inventory system's.2.When considering service parts'demand process be modeled as a compound poisson process, this system has another character,in which the backorder bills can be satisfied by the lateral transshipment and emergency transshipment. A multi-location inventory optimization model was set up based on (s,S) continuous checking policies. We chose discrete event simulation optimization ways to set up an system simulation model,which was dispcited by flowing charts.Numerical examples show the pooling inventory system operation cost is lower than the decentralized inventory system's.3.Because some kinds of service parts are repairable,failed parts are returned to the company that fulfilled the demand for a ready-for-use part.A delayed lateral transshipments may occur when a location is supplied from the repair facility and its stock on hand becomes positive,while at the same time at least one other location in the pooling group has backorders.In such a case,a multi-location inventory optimization model was set up .Aiming at this pooling system's character,a cost allocation model was put forward based on multi-mans cooperating-countermearsure. A mutual multi-object decision-making ways was adopted. Numerical examples show this ways can help different service agents to gain a satisfying cost allocation scheme.4.Researching on a two-echelon decentralized pooling inventory system's level optimization.Because service agents are independent,they have particular ordering policies when their locations are out of stock. The distribution center's and retailers'inventory level optimization models were set up.The game theory of stackelgerg model was applied to solve the problem.A parameter R is denoted of the relative sharing costs between the distribution center and retailers.Compared by different parameter R, different holding cost,and different customer's wating cost per unit of time,we can elicit some rules about changes of the distribution center and retailers'inventory levels,operational costs and the retailer's expected waiting time.5.Based on customer satisfaction degree evaluation, the equipment manufacturers'service quality index system was set up.The Agents'evaluation grade was seen an gene,which can be seen a standard to firstly select high service quality agents.The maintainance service agent optimization selection model was founded on synthesizing total service network's quality and operation cost.Tabu Search was applied to compute model.Computational results show that the proposed algorithm produces optimal solutions. Because including a quality gene,this model's analysis show it is an effective method inspiring agents to improve their service quality.
