Since the 1990's, the environment of enterprises'production and management has undergone tremendous changes, which makes the survival and the development of enterprises face an unprecedented challenges. In order to improve their own competitiveness and adaptability, the enterprises will not obtain the necessary technologies and resources, only by means of the vertical integration any longer. Many enterprises gain the competitiveness not only by building and exploring the internal resources, but also by the external environment, which is formed from long-term trading partnership. From the external environment, enterprises could find the resources and capabilities which are required and could be integrated rapidly to obtain the competitive advantage. Therefore, the competition among enterprises has evolved to the competition among the supply chain networks. The value and the importance of the interorganizational relationaships enhance step by step. Those, who could collaborate well and work more efficiently and effectively, have become outstanding performer of the new economic era in market competition, and that make all the members of the network benefit from this.During the transforming of obtaining resources and capacities inside out, the enterprises'values are also changing. The traditional values which based on production or competition are gradually replaced by the market-based, the customer-based, or even the stakeholder-based. Thus, the value creation model undergoes a fundamental change. The purpose of this dissertation is to construct a value creation analytical framework of the virtual integration supply chain networks, and to provide references for enterprises'practice. This dissertation mainly divides into three parts:The first part, Chapter Two, is the theoretical basis, which is the basis of the study on the value creation of the virtual integration supply chain network, and at the same time the dissertation proposes the value creation analytical framework of virtual integration supply chain network in this part.The second part, from Chapter Three to Chapter Six, is the mechanism of the value creation of virtual integration supply chain network. It is the core of the dissertation. On the basis of resource-based view, knowledge-based view and social logic view, the dissertation uses the value creation analytical framework to analyze the problem of the value creation in the virtual integration supply chain network under the three value configuration logics from the three dimensions of complementary resources/capabilities, knowledge and interorganizational links. And then in Chapter Six, this dissertation puts forward three kinds of coordination mechanisms of the value creation.The third part, Chapter Seven, by means of comparative study of the cases of Toyota, Dell, Li & Fong, the dissertation analyzes the pratical application of the value creation theory.The main innovations of this dissertation are the followings:1. Based on the previous studies, this dissertation constructs a relatively complete value creation analytical framework on the virtual integration supply chain network. To sum up, the three kinds of value configurations→three kinds of value creation drives→three kinds of value creation mechanisms→three kinds of value creation coordination mechanisms→three kinds of economic rents. Thus, the value creation of the virtual integration supply chain network has been achieved.2. This dissertation tries to break the traditional limitation of the value chain configuration logic, and comprehensively uses three kinds of value configuration logics of value chain, value shop and value network to explore the principles of value creation of the virtual integration supply chain network.Among supply chain network, due to the innate complementary resources and capabilities between the upstream and downstream partners, there must have the possibilities for the partners to create value together through the collaborative process, that represents the value configuration logic of the value chain.To find out the custmers problems together and resolve them together by the use of knowledge, that represents the value configuration logic of the value shop. Relying on the widely linked relationships to upgrade all the members'cooperative abilities and learning abilities, that would let the network members to create value together at last. That represents the value configuration logic of value network.3. On the basis of the three value configuration logics, this dissertation points out that the sources of value creation of virtual integration supply chain network are the Penrose rent, L rent and the relational rent which obtained by the joint action of process synergy, interorganizational learning effect, and social capital cumulative effect.4. In order to ensure the above three effects work effectively, and realize the three economic rents, it is necessary to use the three kinds of coordination mechanisms:information coordination, knowledge governace and relationship governance together to coordinate the activities of the members of the supply chain network. This is one of the necessary conditions for the virtual integration supply chain network to achieve value creation.The value creation of virtual integration supply chain network is a very meaningful and complex research topic. Owing to the author's limitation, the study only constructs a superficial analysis framework based on cases analysis, and does not establish a sound economic model and carry out an empirical study.And at the same time, the analytical framework need to further improve in the future also.
