The Impact Of Supply Chain Network Relationship On Supply Chain Performance

Economic globalization,technological progress and market competition make companies face unprecedented challenges.In such a situation,the uncertainty make more and more node enterprises of the supply chain increasingly realize the importance of building cooperative partnership with others.Many companies tend to put investment into social capital network construction or building a formal control process to avoid the opportunism behavior within cooperation.Relational governance plays an active role in promoting long-term cooperation between enterprises and customers,and it is also the important concerns of promoting enterprise's core competitive advantage.Information technology level is the foundation of resource sharing(such as information and knowledge sharing)between core enterprise and its supply chain partners.Through information sharing,core enterprise can get the key organization operation resources from partners which is important for them to develop,and realize the common interests of ascension.It will benefit the internal decision and operational performance of the whole supply chain and node enterprises of the supply chain by improving the information sharing ability in between suppliers and customers.Therefore,it is very significance to use the network relations which is based on the relational governance and IT level to improve the supply chain performance.Based on the network relation which is consist of the relational governance and information technology level,this thesis firstly systematically analyze domestic and foreign research present situation for the concept of relational governance,information technology,supply chain flexibility,supply chain integration,supply chain performance,and construct the conceptual model of supply chain network to supply chain performance.Besides,this thesis also test the mediation effect of the supply chain flexibility and the moderation effect of the supply chain integration in this relationship.This thesis defines the network relation from relational governance and information technology level two aspects,and puts forwards the hypothetical relations between supply chain network relationship and supply chain performance.Based this,the thesis furtherly test these hypothetical relations by using questionnaires to collect data from 350 companies in Central China and using the SPSS21.0 to analyze.Finally,the mediation effect of supply chain flexibility and the moderation effect of supply chain integration was tested.From the analysis,the conclusions are as follows:(1)Relational governance and information technology ability have the significant positive effect to the supply chain performance,and it means the supply chain performance can be improved by using the relational governance to change the cooperation situation and using the IT level to change the information sharing ability of supply chain members.(2)It has the complementary effect between information technology and relational governance,and it means information technology and relational governance can synchronize to ascend,and promote each other.(3)Supply chain flexibility has the fully mediation effect to the relationship between relational governance,information technology level and supply chain performance.It means supply chain flexibility is the media which is used to transfer the effect of relational governance and information technology level to the supply chain performance.(4)Supply chain integration has the positive moderation effect to the relationship between relational governance,information technology to the supply chain flexibility.The higher degree of supply chain integration,the more likely relational governance and information technology will enhance the effect to supply chain flexibility.(5)the control variables such as business time of enterprises has significant effect to the supply chain flexibility,and size of enterprises has a significant positive effect to supply chain flexibility,business time of enterprises has a significant negative effect to the supply chain flexibility;However,the business time of enterprises,size of enterprises,nature of the firm are not necessarily significantly related to supply chain performance.
