Corylus heterophylla×Corylus avellana L. as a hybrid, obtained by hybridizationChina native cultivar (C. heterophylla Fisch) and European cultivar (C. avellana L), andit has collected advantage characteristics such as cold resistance, excellent flavor of C.heterophylla Fisch, and high kernel rate, high market acceptance of C. avellana L. It hasalready become an emphasis concerning and cultivating special tree in Xinjiang, because ofits cold resistance, early fruiting, high yield and storability and as a new introduced fruit treewith potential development feature. The Study on its physiological ecology adaptability underXinjiang special climate and ecological environment is not only a need to increase theXinjiang economic of limited land resource, but also a need to improve ecologicalenvironment of Xinjiang In this paper,13hazelnut cultivars (strains) in Xinjiang hazelnutgermplasm collection garden was used as the test material, commonly used field experimentand sampling analysis method, systematically studied its morphological and physiologicalcharacteristics under drought stress, high temperature and low temperature condition. Andevaluated drought tolerance, cold resistance and heat resistance of Corylusheterophylla×Corylus avellana L, to laid theoretical foundation and practical basis forenraging of suitable cultivation area, rationally using of existing germplasm cultivars (strains)and High-yielding cultivation. The main results are as follows:1. Research on drought resistance of different cultivars (strains) of Corylusheterophylla×Corylus avellana L.: The comprehensive analysis results obtained byusing of stable carbon isotope technique with transient time photosynthesis showed that orderof drought resistance ability from low to high:29#,7#,26#,28#,8#,6#,3#,1#,24#,7#,30#,2#,12#, among them12#has a classic drought resistance leaf morphology there were a significantdifference between each cultivars (strains). If the leaf anatomy morphology as droughtresistance index, the order on sensitivity of them: main vein thickness, leaf thickness, upperepidermis thickness, palisade/mesophyll tissue, lower epidermis thickness, the order ofdrought resistance ability from low to high:3#,24#,7#,27#,8#,30#,29#,1#,12#,28#,26#,6#.And the changes on MDA、Pro、SS、SPC contents in leaf of13cultivars (strains) under PEGSimulated Drought Stress were measured, results showed that with increasing of PEGconcentration and along of stress time, Different cultivars (strains) with increasing of PEGconcentration and the time of stress. MDA content of different cultivars showed increase, butthe Pro, SS and SPC content showed an upward and downward trend. The cluster analysisshowed that,3#,6#,24#,29#,27#are high resistance types;30#,7#,28#,30#,7#,28#,1#are medium resistance types;8#,26#,12#and2#are low resistance types. Used comprehensive evaluation of membership function values analysis on MDA, Pro, SS and SPC, upperepidermis thickness, lower epidermis thickness, palisade tissue, leaf thickness and main veinthickness of13cultivars (strains), results showed that the order from strong to weak drought3#,29#,12#,24#,1#,28#,27#,30#,8#,7#,6#,26#.2. Studied on physiological response and photosynthesis characters changes of4cultivars under drought stress, the results show that: with longing of stress time, the relativewater content decreased; the relative conductivity increased, Pro, MDA content and SODactivity showed increase and decrease trend, the order of drought resistance is28#>3#>7#>26#.The LSP, LCP, CSP and CCP of4cultivars (strains) are1195.27~1620.63μmol·m-2·s-1,34.03~87.80μmol·m-2·s-1,1188.50~1617.05μmol·m-2·s-1and64.88~99.15μmol·m-2·s-1,Xinzhen1#and Xinzhen4#showed low photosynthetic and low transpiration, Xinzhen2#haslower LCP and higher LSP, the LCP and LSP of Xinzhen3#were higher, it has also lower CCP,higher CSP and CE. Compared to normal temperature (25℃), Pn of Xinzhen1#hassignificantly affected compared to other varieties (strains), and Gs of Xinzhen3#has loweraffected compared to other cultivars (strains).3. Lethal temperature of13cultivars (strains) under high temperature stress at30℃,35℃,40℃,45℃,50℃were ranged at39.29℃~47.02℃. Among them12#has lower Lethaltemperature. Cluster analysis showed that:1#,27#,28#,29#,30#have a weak heat tolerance;2#,3#,6#,7#,8#,24#,26#have a medium heat tolerance,12#have a higher heat tolerance ability.4. The results on photosynthetic physiological characters of4cultivars under heat stressshowed that: with the temperature increasing from25℃to45℃, the Pn, Gs, Ci and WUE ofhazelnut were gradually decreased,the change rage of those index between35℃~45℃showed higher, the ΦPSII, ETR and qP showed gradually increased. The Transpiration andheat dissipation were increased with increasing of treatment temperature. Among them theXinzhen3#has a high heat tolerance, belong to heat tolerant variety.5. Take measures on some index such as physiological, germination rate and Pollenviability in one year-old branches and catkins of13hazelnut cultivars (strains), and used mainfactor analysis, results showed that order from strong to weak cold resistance:26#,2#,12#,28#,3#,30#,6#,7#,27#,24#,29#,1#,8#.
