The main purpose of this study is to explore the structure, the influencial factors and the status of college students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy, to provide useful advice for the universities to carry out entrepreneurship education and improve students’ self-efficacy.The study comprises four parts of literature review, quantitative research, qualitative research and general discussion.Literature Review:The study constructs the concept and theoretical model on the basis of systematical analysis of the self-efficacy, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurship at home and abroad.Quantitative research:The study selected 1019 students from four universities in Nanjing to research the structure of students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy, including the preparation of the questionnaire and comparative analysis of students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy.Qualitative research:The study makes deep interviews on the history of entrepreneurship with seven students who starting on self enterprising after graduating from the University, and uses theoretical methods to sort, summarize, extract the interview data to build the structure of students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy under the paradigm of qualitative research, verificatiing, adding and riching the quantitative pre-research.General discussion:The study compares the results about quantitative and qualitative research, discussed the cultivation methods of entrepreneurial self-efficacy,according to the status of students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy, offords systematical suggestions for the Universities to carry out the enterprise education and the way to enhance the students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy.The main conclusions are as follows:1、The conclusions drawn from the quantitative research is that the structure of college students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy includes two subscales of entrepreneurial basic capabilities efficacy and self-control efficacy, including five dimensions:goal achievement efficacy, leadership efficacy, entrepreneurial self-confidence efficacy, self-doubt efficacy, will-weakness efficacy.2、The college students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy has significant differences in the demographic factors,such as the type of school, grade, specialty, gender, family economic status, and which is not significantly effected by the students of different area. Among them, the financial university students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy is significantly higher than the polytechnic moral and integrated University students’; low-grade students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy is significantly higher than high-grade students’; economics and management students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy is significantly higher than the other specialty students; the boys’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy is significantly higher than the girl’s; the entrepreneurial self-efficacy of students from the poor families is significantly better than the students’ in rich families.3、The conclusions drawn from the qualitative research is that the structure of the college students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy includes three parts of the perception of entrepreneurial personality, the perception of entrepreneurship and the perception of entrepreneurial environment. Entrepreneurial personality, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial environment are constituted by a number of factors. All these basicly verified quantitative research conclusions.4、The case interview reveals that the entrepreneurial self-efficacy is the key factor for the college students to succeed in the entrepreneurial practices. It can contribute to convert entrepreneurial motivation into entrepreneurial actions; affect the establishment of entrepreneurial goals; determine the attitude towards entrepreneurship difficult; predict entrepreneurial performance.
