Chinese people are familiar with Fengshui for it has been passing down for thousands of years as an ancient Shushu. It still has profound impact on china social life and people. The study of Fengshui has a long history and many great achievements, but seldom has been done about Taoism Fengshui. Actually, we can analyze many ancient Fengshui documents and found that Fengshui has close relationship with Taoism. Taoism is closer to Fengshui than Confucianism and Buddhism for they have common theory and mutual benefit during their development. Although Fengshui come into being earlier than Taoism but it is Taoism that preserve and promote Fengshui. Unique Taoism ideas are revealed in Fengshui theories and practices, they can be named Taoism Fengshui to some extent.This essay first defined the connotation and denotation of Taoism Fengshui. After an overall review of Taoism classic and Fengshui documents, we can analyze Taoism fengshui"s connotation from five way of selecting methods, including mountains, caves, water. environments, building principle of housing and lifestyle. Thus we can sum up the characteristic of Taoism Fengshui like diviness, leisure, mysterious, complicated, political, etc.Secondly, we discussed the possibility of Taoism Fengshui being analyzed in philosophy perspectives for Taoism Fengshui is the aesthetics thinking of environment which showing the taste of Taoist and can be upgrade to aesthetics area. It belongs to Taoism aesthetics, Ecology aesthetics and life aesthetics and has three basic theories.The Taoism Fengshui theory is logical, spiritual and technical inside and beautiful, humanistic tactful, mysterious and eventually the harmonies between human and the universe.Thirdly, after careful examination of Taoist Fengshui exercise and temple building examples, we found Fengshui aesthetics is involved in every part of Taoist life including the site selection and layout of Taoist temple.Fourthly, we also believe Fengshui has modern value that should be inherited and carry forward. More needs to be done to tap the potential value of Taoism Fengshui in ecology protection, leisure and nourishing of life, architectural planning, ideology, etc. Taoism Fengshui is a meaningful aspect in the future.
