“Spatial turn” become an important theory basis for breakthrough in the linearhistorical time bound since the nineteen seventies, which caused the transformation ofthinking mode of contemporary culture, and also opened up a broad road for the literaturespace writing and criticism of space.The basic framework of this research is to use the basic idea, theory, method of spatialcriticism, to use the novel text as analysis object since the1990s, to use the fit betweenliterature and society in physical space, social space, cultural space as the breakthroughpoint, back to the historical context of social relations, explore the unique writing style ofhow to use the space of literature to participate in the globalization process since the1990s,to participate in Chinese characteristic social relations of production and reproduction,andthen explore the interaction (trial, revolution, activation) between literature spaceproduction and all kinds of social structure space,finally construct the space poetics oflocalization since the literary rhythm track in the1990s, and insight the development trendof literature writing space in21st century.Below the phasic setting of this all, need tostudy the following issues seriously.First, how to understand the Chinese social culture space of1990s form that viewedfrom the space theory. Space theory originates from the practice of the western capitalistglobalization, globalization is essentially the differentiation and reorganization of the spaceof the late capitalist economic and political forces,followed the logic of consumerism is thelogic of social applicating the pace to production and consumption, and go deep into thedaily life, and gradually formed a “global consumer culture”. We note that since the1990sChina also involve in the wave of globalization, the space theory of western consumersociety can be helful, but not as far as applicable to complex multicultural context incontemporary China, therefore, we need to critically absorb western space productiontheory.Compared with the landscape, conflicting cultural consumption space naturallyconceived from the western unique culture tradition and the development of thepost-industrial stage,China is still in the primary stage of development,and the central task of economic construction is still a long time, the construction of social culture space is stillunder the guidance of “harmony culture” concept towards the pluralistic coexistencedevelopment, rather than a “antagonistic” direction. Chinese culture space are beingdeveloped and spread by city, to the medium-sized city, town, rural, in the process ofspatial production, consumption and the transformation in the city and the village and town,showing the mechanism of consumer culture and the space power with Chinesecharacteristics.The cultural space in the multiple efforts of global “empire aestheticmentality”, and national government “rich countries qiangming” and the masses of thepeople “rich”, characterized in hedonic daily life way. We need to gradually change theculture structure,as which the axis of the western empire, in spacing history (rather than alinear) coordinates, establish a globally diverse subject, peace, cultural consciousness ofpractice.Second, how to understand overall permeability from the consumption culture spacein Chinese characteristics to literature space production, literature space become a “code”of consumer culture, began to commercialization, it is involved in the production andconsumption of consumer culture.First of all, the establishment of commodity symbols ofconsumer society and production system of consumer culture, are in need of the massmedia to play a special role. Based on the characteristics of China’s consumer culturebackwardness and fast growth, since1990s China media space distribution and spatialrepresentation presents its own characteristics: At the same time of transforming thewestern consumer culture, it strive for more power of discourse of China traditionalculture and provide opportunities for Chinese modernization road to revival.Secondly, thecultural market itself build a platform for literature space, and play a decisive role in therealization of the function of the cultural space and the literary space. Again, since1990s,the market-oriented reform gradual made in publishing industry, so publishing mediabecome dominant in the mode of production of literary space.Third, how to understand the code presented by the novels text space since the1990s.Since the1990s the consumer culture with Chinese characteristics has providednew social space, space conversion not only changed people’s daily life, but also changedthe social relationship and life style of people, change people life style.Correspondingly,the literature timely capture these updates or innovative space, which represent a varietyof western consumer culture aesthetic in the aesthetic way.But it needs to be emphasizedthat the production of consumer culture on literary space is not only a kind of guide andextrusion, literary space is gradually adjusting the existing form of its own, to participate and affect the consumption culture in various ways.The third chapter to the fifth chapterselects the contemporary novel in consumption context,that including the city/ruralspace (urban space, rural space, niche space)at the geographical level, the national/foreign/edge space (ritual, exotic, rimlands)at the cultural level, the public/private space(survival space, private space, daily life space)at the social level etc,and interpretats severalimages or landscapes appearing obvious spatial awareness, then tries to analyze literarytext how to aestheticly code/decode the space, to analyze complex entanglement betweenconsumer culture and the spatial imagination.Finally discusses the Poetics of space and space criticism--a journey to the space ofliterary.The literature space production and consumption means human how tointelligentized adjust and adapt to modern space order and provide a poetic force andway.The Poetics of space is interactively created in the “third space” concept, literatureresearch and the cultural turn.Under the background of globalized time and spacetransformation,space poetics compared with the traditional poetics in China, there havebeen a series of transformation of research paradigm. Literature has the inherent power andthe aesthetic appeal of the spatial heterogeneity in culture construction of style, with thehelp of space criticism, literary critical force on social reality finally realized in themultiple interpretations.
