With the rapid transmission and spread of AIDS in global area, the world countries have attached much more importance to AIDS prevention. As we know, NGOs, featured as voluntary、independent、flexible and nonprofit, etc, makes itself play an increasing important role in AIDS prevention. The experiences of developed countries and areas show that the power and function of NGOs in the work of AIDS prevention is great and irreplaceable. Since the first AIDS patient was found in China in 1985, the prevalence of AIDS has undergone afferent phase、diffused phase, and now enter fast-growing phase. Thus, it is of great theory and practice significance to learn from foreign experience, relate to our national practice and give full play to NGOs’ function in AIDS prevention.The paper bases on the perspective of social support theory, uses NGOs in AIDS prevention areas as research objects and makes questionnaire survey and depth interview to NGOs in civil AIDS prevention areas. Meanwhile, to better reflect the objective demands of NGOs’ intervention social support for served clients, and to better prove the actual work results of NGOs, it also makes questionnaire survey to served clients. The paper focuses on the contents of why NGOs can work in the construction of social support system for served clients, how does it work and how to better strengthen its role, etc. Moreover, it follows the logical clue of "dynamics mechanism——network construction——work model", and study the specific function of NGOs in the construction of social support system for served clients.The paper mainly includes the following parts:the first, to describe and analyze the current developing situation and problems of NGOs in AIDS prevention areas of China with survey results and related documents. The second, to deeper discuss dynamic mechanism of NGOs of AIDS prevention areas, which intervene social support for served clients, with the logic process of "dynamic source—dynamic transformation—dynamic monitoring and feedback", so as to make the process and results of dynamic mechanism more obvious. As exist of intervention space and demands, NGOs have the possibility and necessary to intervene social support for served clients. Meanwhile, under the function of subjective and objective condition and transmitting medium, they can accomplish the dynamic transformation process. However, due to partial absence of dynamic monitoring and feedback, there is faultiness in NGOs’ dynamic mechanism process. The third, under the perspective of subject of social support and its function exertion, to study and analyze the function of NGOs in AIDS prevention areas about voluntary support network friendly support network moral support network and professional support network construction for served clients. Then, from support philosophy, support subject and function, and concrete construction methods of support network, to make detailed analyses about how NGOs construct each support network, and finally conclude that NGOs encounter many difficulties in the network construction practice. The forth, to mainly aim at analyzing the work model of NGOs of AIDS prevention areas, which intervene social support for served clients. As we know, work model is not the reflection of a single concrete work side, but the whole reflection of high comprehension in every perspective of work, therefore, it includes work will、contents、effects、expectation and suggestions. According to the work model research, we learn that most NGOs have relatively strong work will、integrated work contents and worthy admissive work effect, meanwhile, workers of NGOs put forward higher work expectation and more reasonable suggestions to NGOs. However, the research results show that there do be obvious differences among different NGOs work models. The fifth, to mainly discuss strategies and suggestions about how to perfect NGOs’intervention social support system for.served clients, According to the research, the insufficiency of mechanism, obstruction of network construction and deficiency of work model mostly origin from the imperfective development of NGOs of AIDS prevention areas, therefore, it is necessary to intensify the interactive between NGOs and social environments, strengthen NGOs’ self-construction ability and encourage NGOs’ support system innovation. It is without doubt that social admission and approbation as well as government support is the requirement for NGOs to continue perfecting its function exertion.Above all, according to this research, the author hopes to continue exerting and strengthening the function of NGOs in AIDS prevention areas, perfect social support system for served clients, so as to reach the goal of preventing AIDS as well as continuously improve served clients surviving condition.
