Known as the communist party’s lifeline, the criticism and self-criticism is a good tradition and a consistent style, also an organic component of the party’s style construction. Under the ruling condition, whether the Chinese Communist Party can effectively carries out criticism and self-criticism activities is related to the party’s life-and-death survival and sustainable development. In the party’s fourth plenary session of the17times in2009, the General secretary Hu Jintao criticizes the party there exist a lot of phenomena which don’t adapt to the new situation and new task requirements, do not accord with the nature of the party and the objective problems. So we must carry out the criticism and self-criticism at full blast. Later, he points out that we are facing the risk of insufficient abilities, the risk of breaking away from the masses, the risk of negative corruption and the risk of mental slack in the new historical period. In the future, we will be undergoing the complex and severe ruling test, the external environment test, the market economy test, the reforming and opening test. The CCP faces the four dangers and big tests, needs the ruling capability construction and advanced nature construction, and inherit and carry forward the fine style, especially to develop the healthy ways and customs of criticism and self-criticism effectively.Under the guidance of the Marxism, this paper’s main line is how to effectively carry out criticism and self-criticism which is used the literature access method, the comparative research method, the example analysis method and comprehensive research method and so on. It is reflected in the party democracy life meetings that it becomes "Whole Dharmadhatu"."ZouGuoChang". and is even alienated to the praise and self praise. Some leaders don’t lead the criticism and self-criticism strongly. Investigating its reason, the main problems are the deficient construction of the party, the deep cause by market economy and the bad influence of ranking culture. How to effectively improve the inner-party criticism and self-criticism, this paper carries out some related inquiries. Firstly, we must adhere to the correct basic principles which include adhering to the interests of the whole against individualism, the truth from facts against subjectivism, the socialist democracy against the bureaucracy, the "cure patents" against sectarianism, the moderate public against conservatism and the pragmatic against formalism.
