Marx is the founder of the proletarian party and also the father of Marxist Party Theory. In the practice of creating the proletarian party, he clarified basic principles about Marxist Party Theory, reveled the most general laws to build the proletarian party and laid its theory foundation, which built up the first monument in the history of the Marxism Party Theory. His theory provided us important ideological resources for the study of Party theory and theoretical basis for the construction of all proletarian parties in the world. Deep and systematic studies on Marxist Party Theory are of great significance to strengthen the construction of Marxist theory, implement the Marxist theoretical research and construction projects, strengthen party building, clarify vague understanding and maintaining the party’s advanced nature.By serious study of Marx’s works on the proletarian party and some other existing researches, this thesis focused on the social and historical conditions of the formation of Marx’s Party Theory, its development process, its main content and basic characteristics, its historical status, and its contemporary value. Based on those, this thesis tried to build a more comprehensive theoretical system and framework of Marx’s Party Theory.In addition to the preface, this thesis is composed of six parts. In chapter1, it analyzed the social and historical conditions of the formation of Marxist Party Theory. The development of capitalist industry and the intensification of the basic contradictions of capitalism provided the socio-economic conditions for the creation of Marxist Party Theory. The growth and matureness of the proletariat and the rise of the workers’ movement eastablished its class basis. Ideas about the foundation of the proletarian party by the pioneers of the workers’ movement provided ideological material. The changes of Marx’s view of the world and the creation of Historical Materialism offered subjective conditions. Chapter2did an investigation on the historical developing process of the Marxist theory of political parties by combing its development and changes. This thesis divided the developing process of Marx’s theory into five stages: the bud of the theory before the establishment of the League of Communists, the formation of the theory during the construction of the Communist League, the initial development in1848when the European Revolution broke out, further development in the period of the establishment of the First International and the perfection of the theory in the period of the establishment of independent parties in Europe and the United States. In chapter3, it summarized the main content of Marxist Party Theory:Marx’s theory about the nature of the proletarian parties, the theoretical principals of the party, theory of the party’s program, theory of democracy within the party, and theory of the party’s strategy. In chapter4, it concluded the basic characteristics of the Marxist theory of the political parties:It has distinctive class attributes and political position. It is highly theoretical and practical, as well as revolutionary and scientific. It includes the struggle and development of contradiction, and combines criticism and inheritance. In chapter5, the thesis analyzed the historical status and contemporary value of the Marxist theory of political parties:It is a great revolution in the history of political ideology, which laid the cornerstone of the theory of the Marxist party and provided an ideological guide for the development of the workers’ movement and the construction of proletarian partied. The general laws of the construction of proletarian parties it revels is of great importance to the contemporary proletarian parties. It also enlightens us that during the great project of constricting our party, the nature of working class can not be changed, our party’s goals can not be abandoned, the principles of democratic centralism as well as Marxism can not be thrown, the understanding of the nature of the patry and its members can not be mistaken.
