Study On Chen Duxiu And Sinicization Of Marxism

Chen Duxiu is an important and complex character in the history of the Communist Party of China. He launched the new cultural movement and became the pioneer of the Chinese culture enlightenment. He participated in and led the may4th movement. He is also the main founder and the early leader of the Communist Party of China. Among the advanced figures of the early exploration of sinicization of Marxim, Chen Duxiu is undoubtedly the most important one. He made great contributions to this field. On one hand, he made the creative exploration in many aspects, such as China’s national conditions and the basic problem of the Chinese revolution and so on. On the other hand, Chen Duxiu’s exploration is very important for forming "Mao Zedong thought", which is the first theoretical achievement of the sinicization of Marxim. Therefore, it is very important to study comprehensively Chen Duxiu’s activities and theoretic achievements of exploring sinicization of Marxim. It is also very important to recognize objectively Chen Duxiu’s important contributions and lessons of exploring sinicization of Marxim, all of which offer reference for greatly pushing forward the sinicization of Marxism in recent times. This is the starting point of the selected title for this thesis.The thesis, founded on historical records, analyzes subjective and objective conditions, activities and theoretical achievements of exploring sinicization of Marxim of Chen Duxiu. Based on it, the thesis gives an objective and comprehensive interpretation of his pioneering contributions."Mao Zedong thought" is the first theoretic achievement in sinicization of Marxim. Chen Duxiu’s exploration plays an important role in forming "Mao Zedong thought". Therefore, we can know clearly about Mao Zedong thought’s inheritance from and development of Chen Duxiu’s exploration.The thesis consists of three parts:foreword, text and conclusion.The foreword part mainly discusses the research background and significance of this thesis; outlines present research status quo of the domestic and abroad; sketches research way, research methods and innovations.The main body of this thesis is composed of four chapters. The first chapter is about objective conditions of Chen Duxiu’s exploration of sinicization of Marxim. It discusses the theoretical foundation, the realistic foundation and the international factor of Chen Duxiu’s exploration.The second chapter is about subjective conditions of Chen Duxiu’s exploration of sinicization of Marxim. It analyzes personal factors, which are benifit for Chen Duxiu’s exploration. These personal factors are consecutive patriotic emotion, Chinese and western education background, strong independent consciousness, firmly Marxist faith, etc.The third chapter is about the practice activity of Chen Duxiu’s exploration of sinicization of Marxim. It dicusses the activities of publicizing Marxism, which include translation works, ceation of journals, making a speech and conducting a debate. It dicusses the activities of launching labour movement, which include publicity of Maxism to workers, establishment of the trade union, the participation and guidance of the labour movement. It dicusses the activities of creation of the Communist Party of China, which include the creation of early Shanghai Communist Party Organization, guiding the establishment of the early Communist Party around the country, guiding the hold of the first national congress of the Communist Party of China.The fourth chapter is about the theoretic achievements of Chen Duxiu’s exploration of sinicization of Marxim. It discusses Chen Duxiu’s correct analysises of China’s national conditions, which include the analysises of Chinese social nature, working class, Peasant class, Bourgeois class, etc. It discusses Chen Duxiu’s correct analysises of the basic problem of the Chinese revolution, which include the analysises of the character of the Chinese revolution, the targets of the Chinese revolution, the stage of the Chinese revolution, the future of the Chinese revolution, armed struggle and the united front.The fifth chapter is about the historical status of Chen Duxiu’s exploration of sinicization of Marxim. It sums up the creative significance of Chen Duxiu’s exploration, the important role in forming "Mao Zedong thought" and important lessons for future generations.The conclusion part outlines the main content and the important significance of this thesis.
