As an essential part of historical materialism, social organism theory implies Marx’s logic’s fundamental Methodology to perceive human society and its great achievements. The theory is a synopsis of a series of basic principles of historical Materialism disclosing the general laws of social structure and social development. It offers a scientific and theoretical foundation and methodology for understanding and reforming the society. However, for a long time, such important theory has not been given enough attention and exploration which it deserves. Fortunately, in recent years, a sudden surge of academic research on the theory generates a new academic research focus as a result of the practice of contemporary China’s social development. The great demand for intensive exploration into the theory can be attributed to the self-evolution of Marx’s social organism theory and the development of socialism practice with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, this paper aims to systematically investigate and interpret Marx’s social organism theory to grasp its profound essence and emphasize its theoretical and realistic significance so as to strengthen its social and academic status.This paper does not follow suit to explain Marxism from the Soviet Union’s point of view or from a Western perspective, but rather tries to undertake a comprehensive research on Marxism focusing on the social organism theory on the basis of a Multidimensional analysis of classic texts of Marx. The basic Methods of historical Materialism are applied, based on the previous and recent studies on the social organism theory, to carry out a systeMatic description of the theoretical resources, the evolution background and the formation process of Marx’s social organism theory. And then a profound interpretation of Marx’s social organism theory is conducted covering its nature, elements, structure, composition and its origin, formation Mechanism and law of development and etc. Under the frame of historical and contemporary study, this paper demonstrates how human social organism has developed historically and dynamically. At last, this paper explores the contemporaryvalues of Marx’s social organism theory and is hoped to bring new light to its new development mainly by investigating the Western Marxists’reconstruction of Marxism and the latest achievements in the social practice of Marx’s social organism theory in China.This paper is divided into five parts containing eight chapters. The first part is the first chapter,"Introduction", which outlines the research purpose and significance as well as the current research status of the topic of the article. It analyses the existing research accomplishments and theoretical limitations in this field to determine the research purpose and methods. The second part is the second chapter,"Historical formation of Marx’s social organism theory". It systematically discusses the theoretical resources, the evolution background and the formation process of Marx’s social organism theory. The third part is the main part of this paper including Chapters3,4and5. This part mainly analyses the nature of Marx’s social organism theory and investigates how human social organism has developed historically and dynamically. The fourth part, which contains chapters6and7, explores the contemporary values of Marx’s social organism theory and aims to bring new light to its new development Mainly by investigating the Western Marxists’reconstruction of Marxism and the latest achievements in the social practice of Marx’s social organism theory in China. The last part, Chapter8,"conclusion", concludes the article.
