Pursuing effectiveness is the eternal subject of the ideological and political education. The rich experience of ideological and political education has accumulated in 74 years of the Soviet Union. It set up the Soviet model of ideological and political education, which has a profound impact on the ideological and political education of socialist countries. However, some serious drawbacks existed in ideological and political education of the Soviet Union, there are many lessons. The relationship of the ideological and political education between China and the Soviet Union is homogeneity variant. Moreover, the theory and practice of ideological and political education of the Soviet Union influenced on Chinese. Therefore, it has theoretical significance on studying the ideological and political education in the Soviet times. Based on the Marx theory and the theory of historiography and evaluation, taking the historical changes in different periods of the Soviet Union in the ideological and political education as the ordinate, regarding effectiveness as the breakthrough point, using comparative method, method of integration of theory with practice and the consolidated method of history and logic. The thesis gives the objective description and evaluation of the effectiveness of the ideological and political education in different periods of the Soviet Union.The thesis consists of three parts. The first part includes introduction and the second chapter, the first part introduces the background and significance of the topic, the research states both at home and abroad as well as theoretical basis and evaluation standard of ideological and political education effectiveness evaluation. In introducing the theoretical basis of the thesis, ideological and political education analysis of Marxism theory was highly emphasized. Meanwhile, the thesis introduces other theories including the ideological and political education axiology, its theory of acceptance, and evaluation theory. In the end of the second chapter, this paper discusses the three principles and four specific standards of the effectiveness of ideological and political education of the Soviet times. At last, the thesis analyzed the Three Principle and Four Specific Standard of effectiveness of ideological and political education of Soviet times. The Three Principle refer to qualitative and quantitative evaluation assessment unity; formative and summative assessment unity; dynamic and static assessment unity. The Four Specific Standard refers to evaluation criterion for political identity, economic development, cultural prosperity and social order. The second part is the main body of the thesis, which is composed the third chapter to the fifth chapter. The research focuses on main factors of the history and influence and actual effect of ideological and political education in Soviet era. The third chapter discusses the historical evolution of ideological and political education in the Soviet times. This chapter discusses the four stages of ideological and political education from the perspective of history of the Soviet times, which includes creation, development, transformation and shift stages. The fourth chapter evaluates the effectiveness of ideological and political education on different periods of the Soviet times. During the course of evaluation, it discusses from four perspectives of political identity, economic development, cultural prosperity and social order according to historical sequence and the set index. The fifth chapter analyzes the factors which influencing the effectiveness of ideological and political education of the Soviet Union. It objective analysis these factors actual effect mainly from the guiding ideology of ideological and political education,the main body of ideological and political education, the object of ideological and political education, the mediator of ideological and political education and the environment of the ideological and political education. The third part is the sixth chapter, which discusses the historical enlightenment of the effectiveness of ideological and political education of the Soviet Union, puts forward suggestions to strengthen and improve our ideological and political education, such as building theory self-confidence, developing the Marxism, upholding the leadership and regulation of party on ideological and political education, promoting the popularity and populist of ideological and political education and optimizing the ecological environment, etc.There are three innovations in this paper:(1) expanded the research field of ideolo gical and political education. Studies on the ideological and political education of Soviet Union are relatively weak. But the present research results focused on the simply introd uction of the activities of the ideological and political education of Soviet Union or the experience and lessons of the ideological and political education of Soviet Union. Ac hievement of study, such as review and summarize and evaluation from perspective of ef fectiveness of 74 years ideological and political education activities from the Soviet Uni on is few.(2)Thoroughly reviewed the history of the development of ideological and pol itical education of Soviet Union. This thesis systematically analyzed the 74 years ideolog ical and political education of Soviet Union, which is divided into creation, developmen t, transformation and shift four stages, every stage is been briefly summarized.(3)A ne w analysis framework for the effectiveness of ideological and political education is esta blished, based on the extensive absorption achievement of academic research. Putted for ward four concrete evaluation indicators of the effectiveness of ideological and political education: political identity, economic development, cultural prosperity and social order. The four comprehensive indexes are used in ideological and political education in diffe rent periods of Soviet Union. It can clearly judge that the effectiveness of ideological a nd political education of Soviet Union got rid of the theoretical paradigm of traditional qualitative analysis. In addition, a good system analysis method is applied to study the p rocess of the ideological and political education in the course of the study, clarified the relationship between the various elements of the ideological and political education acti vities, explored the regularity of the effectiveness of ideological and political education b y using the methods of historical research with the theory research.
