A Study On The Thoughts Of Cheng Tianmin In Military Medical Education

Cheng Tianmin is academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering，the major pioneerof prevent atomic medicine in our country，a significant leader in combined injury andmilitary medicine field，who is noted for prevent atomic medicine and pathology．He is not only a celebrated military medical scientist，but also a man who makes greatcontributions to military medical education．Cheng Tianmin has been working at thefrontline，in military medical university，about education、reserch and management，for morethan60years．And he was the president and secretary of Party Committee of the thridmilitary medical university．During the period，he formed、advocated and practiced a seriesof characteristic ideas of military medical education，which have made great influences onthe many aspects of building a quality military medical university and having acharacteristic education，also，an important theory and pratical guidance to the constructionand development of new period military medical university．At the moment，due to the study of Cheng Tianmin’s educational thoughts is still at thevery beginning，also，lacking of the quantity of the study materials and the depth ofunderstanding．Therefor，this paper is based on literature reserch method and history reserchmethod，using more field investigation method and oral history reserch method．By makingthe most use of the imformation already got，serching for more imformation，elaboratinganalysis the original imformation， clearing Cheng Tianmin’s educational practicalexperiences，systematically summarizing Cheng Tianmin’s details of military medicaleducational thoughts and finding the inspiration and the real meaning for educationaldevelopment of new period military medical university．The whole paper is devied into three sections．The first section，according to time logics，is about the growing process of ChengTianmin，mainly focus on his practical experience in military medical university andmilitary medical field，finding out how he formed his educational thoughts and how did it go on．The second section，according to Cheng Tianmin’s colorful practical experience inmilitary medical university，which he had been in many positions，clear his discourse andunderstanding of the idea of holding a military medical university，talents cultivation，teaching， science reserch， discipline constrcution and military medical universitymanagement，and summarize them into a systemic content system of Cheng Tianmin’smilitary medical education．The third section，based on the deep analyses of Cheng Tianmin’s practical experiencesand educational thoughts，providing a beneficial idea for the current military medicaluniversity management from the roles of military medical education and the president’smature qualities of the military medical university．...
