On Refoms And Development Of Fujian Higher Vocational Education Since "Reforms And Opening-up"(1979-2011)

In more than thirty years since "Reforms and Opening-up", from nowhere to somewhere, from weakness to strong development, Fujian higher Vocational Education (FJHVE) has experienced the periods from initiation to rectification, from fast development to the construction of modern vocational education system. By turns and twists, striving and strengthening, FJHVE has witnessed an uncommon growth. Thus, on the reforms and development of FJHVE since "Reforms and Opening-up", the thesis studies systematically its characteristics and development patterns in various stages, to learn from history and take lessons from experiences, and better promote the reforms and development of contemporary higher vocational education.By methods of Documentary Research, Factors Analysis, Interviews, Case Research and analogical study, and according to its development features and land-marking events, the thesis divides the development of FJHVE into three phases, i.e. Initiatiive Development (1979-1989), Rectified Improvement1990-1999), and fast Development (2000-2011). It also studies systematically the dynamic causes and backgrounds which activate the reforms and development of FJHVE in each phase, investigates panoramically the reforming and developing situation of FJHVE in various historical phases, reflects and generalizes the historical contributions, the still-existing problems and main defects of FJHVE in each phase; and finally, by studying systematically the reforms and development process of FJHVE since "Reforms and Opening-up", the thesis outlines six features and eight fundamental principles, analyzes the challenges that FJHVE confronts, and proposes counter-measures on quickening the reforms and development of FJHVE under the panoramic higer vocational education reforms and development background both home and abroad.
