| Happiness is a state of life when people feel good. It is not as the same as happiness and pleasure, it is also not brief and fleeting. Happiness includes the satisfaction right now and hope for the future. Chinese and Western philosophers have different views of happiness, some advocate "spiritual joy of happiness";Some advocate "personal happiness for the happiness";Some advocate "happiness is the happiness of all feeling".Happiness is a positive experience,which is a sense of pride and joy for an individual in the process of Realizing self ideal and self-worth. It is united on the basis of satisfaction,happiness and a sense of value.English has expressed happiness such as happiness, well-being, subjective well-being, psychological well-being and so on. In modern psychology, the term used in the synthesis of Well-Being, reflects the presence of human thinking of Westerners orientation, which has a meaning of happines, healthy and benefits. Happiness is largely influenced by the social inviroment that people live. These factors include personality factors, socio-demographic factors, economic factors,cultural factors and political factors.At present, China is in the period of social transition, people’s well-being exhibited the asynchronous nature with economic development trajectories. Why we do not seem happier than before with the more and more abundant material life? And so, people start to explore happy enthusiastic more high up, the study on happiness is also increasing. However, in recent years, studies on people at different levels of happiness became more and more,but the empirical study on happiness of university teachers in less developed area is still rare.The teachers are knowledge workers,providing knowledge services to meet the needs of special group of students,to understand the happiness levels and influencing fators of teachers can understand the teachers’health and quality of life, to understand the need of teachers can also provide basis for administrators to develop policies. Well-being of teachers has some influence to students. Teachers to get satisfaction at work, identity, happiness can stimulate their enthusiasm for the work, and can provide efficient, high-quality teaching service initiative.The study was based on the concept of random sampling, universities of underdeveloped area and developed area are divided into key provincial priorities, ordinary two and three, college classes according to different university level, which is drawn at random from each of the independent samples and at last draw representative sample after several random survey.Random sample make us to understand the teachers of different levels of university in underdeveloped area and devolped area, which is easy to study separately from the overall level or different categories. The teachers of each universities were investigated by questionnaires.Through the study on the happiness status of university teachers in underdeveloped area, we can understand the general status of university teachers in underdeveloped area during social transformation, analyze the demographic characteristics of happiness, exame all kinds of living index related to the degree of happiness of university teachers in underdeveloped area, discuss the overall situation of teachers happiness, find difference of the teachers happiness between different populations,and as well as the different happiness between teachers in underdeveloped area and in developed area.In the empirical analysis, in order to test the accuracy of subjective investigation, happiness index model was constructed through analizing several factors that influence happiness.The model was got through data analysis and qualification of resulting scores, which has theoretical basis.The actual testing indicates that this model can help us determine whether the selected index is appropriate or not.The result reflected that it is reasonable to establish a description of this evaluation system, which is helpful to understand the true state of teachers happiness of universities and colleges in underdevoped region.Empirical study shows that happiness index of teachers in less developed region is 6.48, teachers in particular are not satisfied with their social status, leisure time and physical level,which indicates that happiness degree of college teachers in less developed region is not high. In addition, teachers’happiness has difference because of different gender, age, marital status, job title, work experience, personality, living conditions, income, and other disciplines.It provides the condition for further study individua factors of teachers affecting happiness. Can be seen from the results of empirical analysis, the impact of happiness of university teachers in underdeveloped area is multifaceted. Therefore, improving the well-being of teachers should need be done from several aspects, such as teachers themselves, schools, government and so on. |
