With the progress of the society and the science, the mobile phone, as an important invention of the20th century, first appeared in1973. Compared with the earlier communication devices, mobile phone has many obvious features, such as portable, mobile, interactive and so on. It also has clear competitive advantages for the traits of low threshold of use, multi-function, humanism and multimedia. Therefore, with the rapidly progress, mobile phone becomes a movable communication tool which develops widely and has high signal coverage. Meanwhile, the special technical carrier closely integrates with the Internet and multimedia technology. It takes on ever-changing and quickened growth trend. The application and progress of mobile phone technology produce tremendous impacts on human society, bring conveniences to human social life, and contribute new tools to human social management. Mobile phone changed human’s lifestyle habits, innovate the way of life, and accelerate idea of values to update. What’s more, it effectively promotes human social production. It saves the cost of production, and greatly reduces the transaction costs. Mobile phone has a profound social interaction with society, which cause social transform in political, economic, cultural and military fields. However, the development of mobile phone has brought many problems to human society. During the using time, the anomie occurred, resulting in interference of the public domain, producing a confused concept of time and space, emerging disorder in social interaction. Thus it leads to moral, ethical and legal issues, and directly or indirectly threats to human health and safety.Therefore, regarding contemporary society as real context, combining with the history of mobile communication technology development and the characteristics of the times, using basic principles and methods from Sociology of Science, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the thesis analyzes the social phenomena of widespread use of mobile phone. It deeply studies the mobile phone and social interaction problems, including the profound impact in human society, social problems. It also proposes social control, and makes conducive suggestions to the healthy development of China’s mobile phone.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter analyzes the status of mobile phone technology development, illuminates the significance of the Sociology of Science studies on mobile phone, and overviews the relevant theoretical basis.The second chapter reviews the history of the development of mobile phone technology, analyzes its development features from the science and technology development angle, including the birth of mobile phones, technology innovations and its function expansion. This chapter also studies innovation of mobile in technology, production and service areas. Combined with its production, operation, use characteristics in China contemporary society, it analyzes and predicts the future of mobile, thus indicates the direction of technology development.Chapter three produces the development of mobile phone and its effects on human society. The paper studies mobile phone and its interaction with society, and analyzes social phenomena, which in the period of production, life, culture, military, social management. First of all, it discusses the needs and reasons of the old, the youngsters and special populations for using the mobile phone. Second, it analyzes its influence in Office Automation, industrial and agricultural production, logistics development. Using of Mobile phone, it turns out a new platform for the innovation and development of social management. It helps the government and the public to ease information asymmetry problem. It is conducive to form effective communication between government and citizens. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the relationship between mobile phone and social management. In the third quarter, paper analyzes from four angles:the promotion of communication, improving efficiency, establishing image, participating in social supervision. It points out that people in different countries and cultures behave different in mobile using, performance a larger cultural differences. The thesis depicts the Cottage cultural phenomenon which starts from the mobile. Finally, it overviews the catalytic effect of mobile communication technology on war, and its impact on defense and military.Chapter four explores the problems that mobile phone development caused to human society. It analyzes that the mobile phone brings a series of anomie and social issues, such as invasion of personal privacy issues, copyright issues on mobile publications, information security, spam message problem, mobile advertising violations, dissemination of pornographic messages and so on. Then the paper analyzed these anomies from legal point. Research indicates that mobile phone not only brings conveniences to social production and human life, but also changed the mode of interpersonal communication, resulting in staggered human time and space, and fuzzy of public space and private space. The study shows that mobile phone interferes in public sector with invisible formation. The article also mentions that the use of mobile phonewould affect human health and safety, analyzes the social problems in moral and ethics, etiquette and manners, and ecological ethics when people use it.Chapter five studies the social control of mobile phone development. Based on the current development of China mobile phone technology, focusing on the virtuous cycle between the mobile phone and social interaction, the chapter researches legal and regulatory issues in the aspects of information dissemination and media regulation, and proposes constructive measures. Without the construction of laws and regulations, nor the supervision of government and industry sectors, the virtuous cycle phenomenon between mobile phone development and social interaction will not come out. Meanwhile, it also cannot separate from the technical support and higher awareness of human beings.Chapter six depicts the innovations of study, and indicates the direction of further research in the future.
