As the main channel of ideological and political education of college students, College Ideological and Political Theory Courses (CIPTC) play an indispensable role in developing talents. Teaching model is essential in talents cultivation and determines its quality. In recent years, with the wide spread and development of information technology, it’s urgent to change the teaching model of CITPC because of the loss of traditional model with the rise of information technology, the weak effect of policy promotion and the lack of further reform.As CIPTC is a course that applies Marxism to cultivate all-round development of a person, indoctrination, intersubjectivity and flexible learning are the foundation for the study of teaching model of CIPTC. Indoctrination is an important principle of Marxism, while intersubjectivity is a vital category of western philosophy and flexible learning a major concept of higher education. Based on these three theories, the author analyzes the connotation of teaching model, the CIPTC’s teaching model and reviews the CIPTC’s teaching history. Throughout history, it is not difficult to find that the teaching model has remained almost unchanged for years. There is an obvious characteristic of homogeneity in teaching. Specifically, the main problems of traditional model is the obvious insufficiency in the following aspects:the scientific imbuing, students’subjectivity and learning flexibility. Which caused by the barrier and restriction in students learning:the traditional education idea, the traditional cultivation pattern, the college management system and resources, the teachers’ teaching idea, and the students’ ability in making choices. At present, the change of students’ learning method because of information technology is the impetus of teaching model reform which has four main features. By analyzing the problems, causes and the impetus, the author concludes that the possible solution in IT era is the CIPTC-GSOT teaching model. It focuses on "teacher as a guide", "students as main subject", "student’s learning outcomes as the aim" and "information technology as the impetus". It is not a single or specific teaching mode, but a construction of ideas and concepts. It is in accordance with the nature of CIPTC, the aim of all-round cultivation and the Marxism’s developing with the times. It can help deal with the disadvantages of traditional teaching model, which has relevancy and effectiveness. GSOT is based on constructivism teaching model, hybrid teaching model (especially flipped classroom model). GSOT is open, diverse and can integrate with a variety of teaching modes. This teaching model is proved to be a necessity, feasibility and expansibility from the perspectives of "five status quo" of education information in CIPTC, "four trends"of college students’ online learning and the practice of "Moral Cultivation and Fundamentals of Law". Finally, the author builds a harmonious educational information ecosystem to apply new teaching model into practice, and tries to achieve the five changes in:teaching philosophy, technology systems, teacher’s role, management mechanism and campus culture. In conclusion, the trend of teaching model should be from closed to open.
