To introduce intellectual capital is one of the necessary ways to solve the shortageproblems of it in the domestic industries, to meet the gaps of high-end intellectuals inenterprises, and realize the transformation of the “Made in China” to the “Created inChina”. Currently, reseaches that focus on normal intecllectual capital transferinfluenced by the network property and structure of informal innovation network(IIN)are more than those which mainly study the abnormal intellectual capital transfer of theinformal innovation network interfered by the serendipitous factors existing in dailypractices. Extending the study of influence of the conventional network property andstructure on the intellectual capital transfer, and introducing variation of theserendipitous factors under the IIN background, the paper studies intellectual capitaltransfer influences among industry nodes. The paper firstly investigates the property, characteristic, evaluation, and functionalpath of serendipitous factors. Then, by exploring the formation, the network nodeproperty, and the networwork structure of the informal innovation network, the mainelements of superficial node property and network structure are achieved to analyzetheir influential mechanism on the intellectual capital transfer among the network nodes.Through searching the effects of the IIN serendipitous factors on the theoretical pathesand related models of the intellectual capital transfer, conducting analysis withsimulative softwares, and empirically analyzing an occasional factor of the InternationalFinacial Crisis, the strategies for enterprises to cope with the factors to realizeeffectivelly their international intellectual capital transfer are put forward. Theinnovations that this research has achieved are as follows: (1) An path model which is based on the IIN serendipitous factors (emergentincidents) to the capital transfer influences is proposed. This model can be described asthe serendipitous factors (the emergent incidents)—the network node properties andthe network structure characteristics of the IIN network G (n, γ)(the network initialeffects—the static network properties)—the network access wish and the networkaccess frequency of the network properties(the network behavior caused by networkresponse—the dynamic network property)—the intellectual capital transferperformance between nodes (the effect produced by the new IIN network). This theorysystematically explains how the serendipitous factors affect the intellectual capitaltransfer performances.(2) Intellectual capital coupling models between nodes, when the dimension of theIIN network G (n, γ)is the same or different, are established. The model firstquantitatively describes a process that the intellectual capitals between nodes implementcoupling with signals when the intellectual capital dimension and vector are the sameand different,. Therefore, mutual intellectual capital search and coupling between thesource node and receiving node are put into one analysis framework.. This result hasn’tfound in the existing literature. The achievement gained will effectively express thetheoretical mechanism based on the IIN capital transfer, and help to demonstrate itsessence in the network, and easy to undertake quantitative analysis to a serendipitousfactor and its influence.(3) An concept that an emergent incident model in practices can be changed into aserendipitous factor in theoretical analysis is specified. By classifying the node propertyand the structure characteristic of the IIN network G (n, γ)into the static property, thedynamic property of the IIN network is introduced, which is described with the networkaccess wish and the network access frequency of the network nodes, thus forming ansystematical analysis framework combining the static network property with thedynamic network property. Based on the study of its influence on the intellectual capitaltransfer performance, the framework is developed into the mechanism which isinteracted by the static property and the dynamic property of the IIN network G (n, γ),clearly revealing an intellectual capital transferring pattern of them. The concept of theserendipitous factors and the framework based on the interaction of the static property and the dynamic property of the IIN network G (n, γ)lay a strong foundation to thenew theoretical system of the intellectual capital transfer. The system can be widely usedin practices when similar researches are to be probed.
